The Lips thread, all you need to ask and know...

I have somehow dry lips now (i think that it lasts about two weeks)

Have you got any advice for me? What balm is the best?

Has anyone tried Dior Addict Plastic lip gloss? I liked the one which is on Polina on the AD, tried it on my hand but still thinking, is it sticky?

^ I love Dior Addicit gloss!! Nope, it's not sticky, just don't swallow it. Bad experience.

On September's Nylon there is this editorial and the girl is wearing Estée Lauder's Color Gloss in Quartz and her lips look almost white. I bought it and it totally looks different. If I apply my mac foundation before the lipstick I do get that effect. Is it the only way? Is it normal to apply foundation on the lips to get them to look so pale?

I keep seeing models with their lips having almost the same color as their skin but I can never get that with just a lipstick...

Any advice?

Can someone please recommend a flattering red lipstick for me? I'm Asian with a yellow/olive complexion. Any reds with even a hint of fushcia look garish on me. I want a creamy red that will give me that very classic look.

Yes that's very normal. If you want back-up, even Vogue Makeup (book) says to do that.

Has anybody tried Rimmel Infinite Lipcolour?

I have. Though I went for the flashiest reds probably possible so I don't wear it that often and can't really remember the effects. The colors are strong though.

Are there any lipglosses that actually plump up those lips?

I'm not sure but one way to make your lips look fuller is to apply a lighter colour in the center of your lips, and then gloss.

Has anyone used Dior Show gloss? I saw it advertised in a couple of magazines... and I'm so curious... but I'd rather see if it's good or not here before I go out and buy 26 dollar lipgloss  Let me know!!!

No idea on the Dior Show but I've always had luck with Dior lipglosses in the past. I prefer them over MAC to be honest.

Okay I have a MAC lipstick in a very strong red (can't recall the actual name but it is a true red) but whenever I apply it, it becomes a sort of fuschia color. Does anyone have any ideas how i can deepen the color to be red on my lips? Mix with a darker gloss or lipstick?

Does anyone know any products that produce lipglosses/lipsticks of these colors?
