The Lips thread, all you need to ask and know...

bruised lip!

i have a bruised lip and it looks so stupid like i've been chewing on a pen and its burst and i havent noticed!

any ideas for covering it up its a very deep blue black kind of a colour although i dont like wearing coloured lipstick/lipgloss.

or should i just look like and idiot until it goes away!:ninja:

as i stated in a thread i posted just now, i love my lipvenom gloss! it gives me great puffy lips :)

as embarrassed as i am to admit it, i really like the jessica simpson dessert line of glosses ;) ...i just can't help it, they taste so yummy, especially that one...dreamy or creamy? the ones that tastes like caramel is absolutely delicious! but pretty expensive for something so small.....

orange crush

can anyone recomend a semi opaque orange gloss?

i want it transparent but noticably orange.

i was thinking make up forever.....nars....i like juicy tubes also.

it has to be just a pinch of color.

thankx ;)

From my limited experience...

Nars's "Sunset Strip" has a nice orange color to it that is semi opaque. It's got a great texture and shimmer to it. Another orange gloss that I more often use is Stila's Lip Glaze in "Orange," which is a more subtle and transparant density than the Nars.

Helena Rubinstein has some good lip glosses. I have Gloss Effect in orange but it's been discontinued. I do believe there are similar products though.

im going to check these out.....ihavnt used anything by stila..so i will try. thank you.

why do they always discontinue the best colors?

I've tried the Lip Venom and (aside from a bit of tingly sensation and a lovely spicy scent) it doesn't really do anything noticeable to my lips. Has anyone tried the Lip Injection gloss or any other proclaimed 'lip plumpers' ? :D

I love lip-glosses! i'm a lip-gloss junkie, i wear nothing but lip-glosses!!(ok i guess you got the picture)
Ok my favorites:
Chanel (25 Volage)
Lancome (Pamplemousse)
Estee Lauder (Ginger Fizz)
Clinique (air-kiss, angel pink)
Dior (091 Ultra Gloss)
Versace (Lights On Lips V2083A)
Mac (Spectra Peach, Hi-resin Rose)

I mostly like pink-ish, beige, gold colours
And about the lip balm, THE BEST lip balm out there it's Prada. It's expensive but definately the best. It leaves your lips really smooth and soft!!

Pink lipsticks

I've been looking for the perfect pink lipstick and I don't want to spend my money with something that isn't exactly what I'm looking for. I recently bought one from L'Oreal (don't know the name but the colour is Pink Mania) but it still isn't what I want. I'd like something more cherry pink-like, but not too dark. Any suggestions?

In the two first pictures it doesn't look like they are really wearing anything on their lips..as for your favorite..you might want to take a look at the following lipssticks:

Vincent Longo Lip stain in Foolish Virgin (Sephora in the states should carry it)
MAC Lustre Lipstick in Sweetie B13
MAC Lustre Lipstick in Syrup A32
MAC Lustre Lipstick in Plumful A32
MAC Matte Lipstick in So Be B79 ( apply and wipe off..its too dark and intense in colour pigmentation..but after its removed you lips look great)

Thanks Hanne! I actually went to MAC today and found exactly what I was looking for - MAC lipstick in Up the Amp. It's a bit dark but it's perfect. It's a grape-ish pink.

Don't know if anyone else has this problem, but has anyone ever heard of a chemical imbalance in the skin, that would cause lipstick to change colour?
I find whenever I wear lipstick, the edge of my lip line almost always turns a slight shade of coral, no matter what colour I'm using...
Someone once told me that perhaps my body produced too much acid or something freaky like that...?!
Anyhow, I thus stick to gloss.
Maybe if I used a lip primer?? Any ideas??

Lip Fusion: lip plumper

I was wondering if anyone else has tried lip fusion -- that new lip gloss that was given the good housekeeping seal of approval and winning raves everywere. It has micro collagen that is absorbed by your lips and then it plumps using your actualy body water.....And it has a sheer gloss with a slight orange and vanilla taste...really nice.

I just bought it but it is $40!!!! and i'm not sure if i visually see a difference or not. Ppl have said it definitely works and i have to say when i put it on, my lips start to get numb....the effects of plumping is supposed to last like hours -- unlike DuWop's lip venom which is temporary....

So -- anyone else try it? Wondering what you thought!!
you can check it out on their website too: lipfusion.com
