The MAC Makeup Thread

^ if i remember it correctly, probably somehwere in early/mid Feburary, like mid Feburary or somthing.

Yeah they wouldn't do a mint lip colour...

For some reason, I am really wanting the Too Dolly quad, but I am hoping that people say I can pass on it. I know I would not use Yogurt, but I really want Romping. Would it be best for me to get the Too Dolly quad, to try for Romping on eBay, or hope that the CCO gets the quad in? I do have a giftcard coming from a friend that will cover some of my Hello Kitty wants, but I am trying to not get both Tippy and Pretty Baby. (I find it funny that within a year BOTH the Diana Ross beauty powders have been repromoed)

I hope they have like just the pan version of the black-blue shadow from the Too Dolly quad. I don't really need other stuff. I am curious about the Gund Duos, but to be honest, I will move to another brand for blush...

I believe CremeTeam comes out on the 5th. That's where the Cremesheen Glasses come from, as well as some new lippies.

I am excited about the Grand Duos, but on Temptalia there was a picture of the Sugarsweet MSF's and the one with the fuschia I will be getting multiples of. I have a feeling Sugarsweet will be either a late March or 30 April launch.

Since they did a bright blue (at least in the tube) lipstick for C-Shock I wouldn't be surprised if a mint lipstick was made ;D

Just thought I'd bump up this thread since the Hello Kitty collection debuts on Feb 12. What are some must-haves that you are planning to get?

I need to have a list before I go into the store. Otherwise from past experience, I tend to grab everything without thinking if I really need it (since there's always other ladies at my heels who are ready to snatch the items that I was hesistant about).

I'm actually really excited about the Creamteam collection. There are some lipglasses that I'm very eager to pick up.

I am more curious about sugarsweet. I want lollipop loving (i miss the heartherette version tho, it was so cute). The shadows and MSF seems adorable too.
Hello Kitty: I like the dark blue shadow. I might look into the lipstuff (i only like the tube exterior) and the beauty powder, but otherwise nothing interesting.
Creamteam: the gloss seems interesting.

the Hello Kitty launch party is Tuesday and i have no money.... haha. nevertheless, i'm going. the only thing i'm planning to buy for sure is the 'light creamy grey' polish (On the Prowl), and maybe the Vestral White polish as well. MAC polishes last forever on me, when i use their topcoat.

has anyone had an opportunity to check out the Studio Sculpt products? i believe they're out on the 5th (and i wonder if they will also be available at the Hello Kitty event?). they feature a foundation which is supposed to be a silky, gel formula... and a concealer which is supposed to cover just as well as Studio Finish, with a gel texture that's more moist and less chalky. this sounds really promising. i love the coverage offered by Studio Finish but the pot gets very dry, and thus the coverage ends up looking a little chalky after awhile.

I'm not too excited about HK. The only thing I'm definitely going to get is Milk Pigment. I might pick up the grey nail polish and maybe a lipstick too. But that's it.

I'm more excited about Sugarsweet and Grand Duos.

Does anyone know, who is the photographer/s for MAC-collections?
I'd mainly like to know who shot the Style Warriors -collection promo photos.

What are your opinions on Mac's MSF powders?
I want a change from my matte blushes and am seriously considering either the blonde or redhead MSF. They look great but I just don't want to get duped into something packed with glitter, I want more of a highlighting/illuminating product.

This is a gel-based cream formula with silicon coated pigments that leaves a semi- matte finish that resists caking. I generally shy away from matte textures due to the fact that it settles into every fine line and imperfection. Studio Sculpt manages to combine the power of a primer along with serious hydration. It really does not budge on the skin and resists any mask-like tendencies.

The texture is rich and creamy with high pigment power. A dab of the product actually covers the entire face. It glides easily over the skin and provides incredible coverage. The press release states that this is a foundation with medium coverage. Do not shy away from this description. Coverage can be manipulated to give a more sheer look with moisturizers or luminizers. The incredible coverage can be compared with La Mer and Kanebo but the finished effect is different. It is less dewey than La Mer and thicker than Kanebo.
It was tested by MAC Pro makeup artists for three runway seasons. I received several tubes of this foundation and have enlisted the help of co-workers and friends to weigh in with their thoughts. I will be sharing their reviews throughout the week.

i just found out that MAC discontinued their hyper real foundation.

thanks

Hyper Real is still available, it's just Pro only. but you can order it by calling or shopping at a Pro store. here's a link for info. :flower:

I'm curious about the new concealer, studio finish is SO chalky and hard to work with...but it has great coverage which I need for my dark circles.

^ for Studio Finish, i use my fingers and only apply it super sheer then build it up by patting but i usually dont use for undereyes.
