The MAC Makeup Thread

^ It's really rare to find anyone snobby working at MAC here ... I guess if people want to have an attitude, they go have it at a more upscale line

The MAC ppl here are also a bit unfriendly IMO...but MAC is pretty new here and seen as quite trendy

I have been to 5 MAC stores several times in Germany (Cologne, Hamburg, Berlin, Dortmund, Bielefeld) and I only ONCE (!!) had the feeling of getting a good advisory service. The other staff members seemed sooo unsecure and incompetent to me :/ And in addition to that a few have also been unfriendly :(

i think the MAC SA's are way nicer than any other brand's makeup SA's. much less pretentious and more helpful, some of the middle aged women at the other beauty counters at department stores have an annoying tendency to stare any shoppers down as they walk past.

Seriously I don't think it has to do with the brand they're working for, but more about ppl's personality :innocent:
I had this supernice SA at Clinique, she gave me so many samples and was really helpful, the same with the two SA's at Bobbi Brown in Denmark, they gave me samples instead of pussing really hard for me to buy the product right away.

^The BB and MAC SAs in Aarhus are SUPER nice. Which reminds me, I need a new corrector  And a lot of other stuff :shifty:

I didn't go to the MAC stand there, but yeah I agree, the BB ones were great! Have you noticed the weird smell when you enter that shopping mall BTW

^It's a department store...the biggest in DK, and they STILL have problems with the sewers :ninja:

Wow the biggest one in DK! Hmm..that's weird.. tho it didn't stop me from buying makeup :D

i wonder if anoone here taken any of MAC classes ? We have something about face or eyes in 3 weeks in Esteee Laudeer place and i thinking about that.

I just got a 227 brush, it's gorgeous! And I just realized...I have a billion MAC brushes! The 109, the 138, the 208, the 209, the 224, the 227...when is this gonna stop?

Anyone any opinions on the kohl liner pencil? I am thinking of getting the Teddy colour. Is it long lasting?

^ it's soft and creamy, really like it. I wouldn't say it's superlong lasting, but it's ok.

i just bought the mineralize skinfinish natural pwder in "light medium" hope this is a good shade for me.

do you think it might look bad over tinted moisturizer? the tinted moisturizer i have now looks patchy after a while on its own.

i also got the 208 eyeliner brush. is that a good one? im used to much smaller brushes in length.

Sorry Lucy92 I don't know anything about those products so I can't help you.

I just got a paint pot in rubanesque and I really like it^^ It's very silky and easy to apply, it also works quite well as an eyeshadow base.

.

I have it in Medium Plus and adore it! It is my must-fave product. I use it to set my make up when I have finished. You won't regret buying it ^_^

i use this powder over all kinds of foundation, from light to medium coverage or even over bare skin to mattify. it is fantastic, very subtle, doesn't completely flatten the face but adds radiance :)
