Hi there, I was just wondering if anyone could help me out with this lip colour- do MAC do any lipsticks like the deep redish pink one this model is wearing? I would be so grateful if someone told me!!

Impassioned is what you're looking for. Or Lustering is another option if you want the same color but a little more sheer.

It's possibly a pigment used as a lip colour...

Are there any helpful guides for finding your color match in MAC? Every single MAC counter and store I've ever been in, the salespeople are wearing SO much foundation and it's often not the right color for them. Not that all MAC associates are like this, but for some reason I always see girls with orange foundation and drawn-on eyebrows and too much lipliner. It's silly of me, but I don't really trust them to match me, especially since my skintone is pretty strange. I do want to try MAC concealer but am just overwhelmed by the huge range of choices in color!

^ IMO, they are specifically trained to mismatch you ... I would suggest going to Sephora.

^I have it. The color is nice, like a greyish purple, but the finish is horrible! Don't know if it's just mine, but it's hard and not very pigmented like other mac eyeshadows.

And it's almost identical to one of the eyeshadows in the Dior ''stylish move'' eyeshadow palette. The Dior one is sooo much better though IMO, much creamier texture!

^^ I have it too and it is indeed not very pigmented, mine is not hard though.. But it was a waste of money for me actually. Although I own and love several shades of purple, I almost never reach for them because somehow they don't work with my blue eyes. Makes me look washed out .
There is only one shade of 'purple' I like on my eyes and it's Copperplate. It's actually a grey but sometimes it has a purply tint to it. It's a matte. Shroom on the lid and Copperplate in the crease is a lovely combination .

I am currently obsessed with Mac's Fluidline gel eyeliners. And not only Blacktrack. I especially love the brown one.
Apparently Bobbi Brown's gel eyeliners are better though. I am yet to try them out! Shiseido does some very good ones too!

Would anyone recommend the Mac highlighters? I am looking for a good one. Using Highbeam by Benefit at the moment which I don't find that great.

Thanks guys! I guess I'll just have to head down to MAC and try it on. I'm looking for something purple-greyish for everyday...something easy that you can just slap on. I'm kinda sick of brown and bronze colours at the moment, and I want to try something different.

i think the quite cute collection is righ up my alley. finally! its been almost a year since i last bought something from a mac LE collection.

Experience has taught me that lavender lips are not a good idea I'll have to check out the nail polish.

I have Shale & haven't worn it yet. I'll have to break it out & try it. I have golden brown eyes and pink skin, and pretty much all purples work well on me. Purple and silver are supposed to be good on brown eyes I was reading lately ... I wear both often. Dovefeather is a purplish taupe that is pretty much my favorite eyeshadow (discontinued), and Shale seemed quite similar on my hand ... will try to wear it tomorrow.
