that is really too bad about ungaro. i wanted the pink lipstick also. maybe ill call my mac store and ask them if they know the date or not.

here is a photo of the dame edna packaging from spektra.net. i think the packaging is adorable. it comes out december 26th apparently.

^ I'm not a huge fan of the colored lipstick cases. I got one of the neon orange, but it is so ugly It's hard to be subtle about putting on your lipstick with that one ... This is better than that ... & the logo is cute

I know nothing about the Dame Edna Mac stuff either! I've never heard of a make up line made by a character before....

On the other hand, I loved the Neo Sci-Fi packaging. I will probably end up liking the Dame Edna stuff later on, but I'm not a huge fan of lavender unless it is metallic. I have heard rumours that there will be a Hello Kitty collection, and if so, I am buying everything. Well, at least everything I like in special packaging.

I have a feeling that if there is a Hello Kitty collection, it will have a lot of brights and then a lot of girly shades-so think Barbie, Manish Arora, and Sweetie Cakes mixed together. The packaging will be absolutely to die for-it will probably sell out faster than Manish Arora or Dress Camp. Also, it would fit the bill because the collection that comes out mid-February is usually not only a very girly collection, but it's a huge one...usually has bags and other assorted things with the print on the packaging.

^ I am a cat person usually, but I am a bit unsure about the Hello Kitty product this time. I personally prefer Little Twin Star MAC :LOL: I will see when Febuary comes.

btw, have any one checked out their Good Bye page?
apparently they are getting rid of many foundations (Hyper Real, Select Tint, Studio Mist, and Full Coverage), two brown product plus some other product. I am a lil bit surprised that they get rid of quite a few of foundation product, do anyone knows why or is there new stuff comming in?!

^No clue. Fairylite and Frost pigments are already gone from the site, as are all of the fall favourites...(there goes my chance to get Reflects Rust). It could be that a particular shade is not selling well in a specific foundation, or it could be a sign that they're going to either phase out or repackage a specific one.

I like Feb products usually because I do find them to be a little...pink. I swear it sounds crazy, but it is around Valentine's Day and stuff.. I'm just excited to see where they go with it. I'm not a HK fan per say but I would get into it if the products are cool! I think the packaging will be cool.

The Chill collection looks great, I already want 2 shadows from them.

I am definitely into pinks and just girlier colours in general, so a collection like Hello Kitty is good for me. I have a feeling that the glitter liners are either never coming back (Urban Decay's are a way better value anyway), or they COULD come out with Dame Edna. I also know that Dazzleglass are coming back SOMETIME. There were rumours that it was going to be a permanent product, but also rumours that it would come back with Red She Said, or I could see that happening with Dame Edna.

Speaking of Red She Said, I haven't heard a whole lot about the colour collection itself (I'm not talking the lip bags, palettes, and other misc. stuff...). I have heard that the MES trios are nothing to write home about, and the shimmer strip in the center looks to be a VERY glittery highlighter. I also know that the Red She Said lipstick is an AC finish, and that there's another called Quiet Please.

Also if anyone is interested Ungaro launches tomorrow. I'm just more interested in Manish, so Monday night is going to be a VERY late night for me.

It'll be worth staying up, Trista. Manish has such a limited release the items are sure to become huge collectors items! Are you getting everything?

Pretty much when I saw the packaging for Manish, without a ton of product details, I knew I would be buying everything. Then I found the details, and it was game over. I saved up the overtime and holiday pay from a recent paycheck to help cover it all. So yes, in two weeks from now I will own all the Manish pieces. I'm also getting Bright Sunshine, which is normally only at the Pro stores, because I have been wanting a FROSTY yellow for ages.

For the first time since I got into MAC, I'm not at all interested in much from any of the rest of the year's upcoming collections.

I'm not getting anything at all from Suite Array, Gold Fever, Cremesheen, Ungaro, or Manish.

I will get Petticoat MSF from Sheer Minerals, since that is the only MSF I want and have never been able to get my hands on. I will probably get the red lipstick from the holiday color collection, cause I'm addicted to red lips lately. I'll get the new pigment from Metal Urge, cause I need to own every single MAC pigment there is. I'm interested by the Red and Rose Lip Bags, but I'll need to see them in person before I decide.

I love the packaging for Dame Edna though, so I may get a lot from that depending on the actual products. The Brunette Blonde Redhead collection sounds fun too. And I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get everything from Hello Kitty, even if everything has crappier quality and packaging than Fafi did. I absolutely adore HK.

Other than that, I'm still loving all my goodies from the Cult of Cherry and Overrich collections. Those 2 and Heatherette are my picks for collection of the year so far.

What's everyone else's picks for favorite collections so far this year?

It's a very tough one for me, so I will just give my opinions of the collections (at least the big ones

N Collection: Hate neutrals. PASS!

Fafi: Loved some of the lip stuff, but hated the packaging. Also one of the MA's tried to sell me on the Fafi 2 eyes, and I am SO glad I passed.

Heatherette: LOVED THIS. I love most collections that have a pigment with it, and this had glitters as well! I didn't like the looks of the Trio 2, but the Trio 1 was actually quite nice (I am wearing Mood Ring today). If there is one palette colour that should become a permanent, it's Mood Ring.

Dazzleglass: Although this was just lips, I adore this to death. I got 6 total, and they are the best gloss ever.

Naughty Nauticals: While I wasn't really into the shadows (I don't like darks), the pigments kicked butt as did the lipsticks. It just felt kinda...small. I dunno though.

Neo Sci-Fi: This actually was a really nice, wearable collection when you strip away the packaging and so forth. Almost anybody could find use for all the eyeshadows, and anything to repromo Pink Grapefruit is A-OK. And Electro? *swoons* I would have gotten a LOT from this collection-Femme Fi, Evening Aura, Expensive Pink, Soft & Slow, Scatterrays, a backup of Electro, a backup of Pink Grapefruit, and a couple jars of the VAE-but I had bank trouble.

Cool Heat: So underrated. I love blue and green eye looks and this had amazing things. I hit pan on Solar White very quickly! The lip products were also very wearable and I like the Slimshines-they aren't just for summer.

Colour Forms: While I didn't like everything, I loved the packaging, and I could have bought almost everything from it. The pigments were really nice, way better than the Overrich ones.

Electroflash/Sonic Chic: I'm a fan of the MSF's, but not exactly a blush person. Also I have heard everything about the MES, and while I would have loved to get a couple, it's nothing really I felt I just HAD to have.

Starflash: Good colours, HORRID texture. I am seriously considering B2M'ing my Sunset B., because I have In Living Pink and it's not only a better texture, but it actually has colour payoff.

Cult of Cherry: Despite the fact that it is not my thing, I actually did like some of the lip stuff. It's a good collection for many people, however it's not my thing.

Ungaro: BO-RING.

Of everything already released, I would have to say it is a toss-up between Heatherette and Colour Forms. Colour Forms gets the edge though simply because of Oh Garnet being in the warm lips palette.
