The MAC Makeup Thread

Oh I love the lipsticks. I was looking at all the stuff today. I know that the only thing I'll use is the smokey eye set though.

Great photos, Sexy!

Can you believe I STILL haven't found my way to the MAC counter yet for the Holiday collection? I swear my addiction is seriously compromised.

Trust me-the Little Darlings you HAVE to see in person. I got the coral and pink lipglass sets, and they are amazing. Magnetique in the Pink, and Ola Mango and Buddng in the Coral are the real standouts. The warm pigments set is really nice, but the cool one is a must-have IMO-and I have a full jar of Teal that I rarely use. Other than that...everything is just bleh. I've heard that the quality on the brush sets is possibly the worst ever, and the cool palette is the one that I am most interested in. The lip palettes don't have good payoff, and while the lip bags do look nice for the contents...the bags themselves are definitely hids.

I went to the mac counter on the German release date! I couldn't wait to see all those lovely things in person :p

Hmmm...I think it always depends on your own expections to the quality of the brush sets. I felt them and I didn't find them THAT bad.
In Germany the little darlings haven't come out yet, but the warm pigments really interest me. I hope I can convince my parents to get this set for christmas! :D

I took a picture of the gloss

That looks beautiful, although it's obviously helped by being put onto a pretty face too! I wish I'd bought it yesterday when I saw it now. Thats definitely going on the want list...

Thanks a lot! :)

But the set is great. I love it so much! It makes me look a little bit like barbie, but that's okay :D

too bad im broke so far... i will save for the hello kitty and blond/brunette/redhead thing...

Well you've got a pretty face, so I think you could pull off the barbie thing with class....which is another compliment I promise! I think I'm going to have to run out and get that gloss, it's very pretty indeed.

Depending on what the Hello Kitty colour story is, I might end up skipping some more of Dame Edna. Then again, if it is all pales as far as the lips go, I'll at least skip those lip products because I only do brights.

^ I have to honest, the packaging of Dame Edna is really not my cup of tea, so i dont worry too much about it.
i hope hello kitty is more like fafi (H&M did/do make some pastel hello kitty make up), otherwise i can even skip that.

anyone have comment on cremesheen?

Honestly, I have never tried any of the brow stuff...all I have to do is use a 212 to make sure that they stay in line and I am good. No powder, no wax, no nothing.

As far as Dame Edna goes, I do like some of the packaging, and I like bright lip colours-however the eye trios are not must-haves, and the highlight powders are garbage. They are exactly like how the Balloonacy powders were-matte powders with a shimmer overspray. I do eventually want to get an eye trio though, because when I finish the colours I can use it as a mini palette. Chill is very skippable, because I only want the Reflects glitters (I collect the glitters). But back to the packaging...not my cup of tea. I sadly though do want a highlight powder, just for the case. For that one, I have no problem CCO'ing it.

So I got two little tidbits from a friend about Hello Kitty!

First up, the packaging is going to be pink, with rhinestones.

Second, there is going to be a couture-style Sheer Mystery compact. It's going to be on the pricier end, and it will be VERY limited, as in stores only getting a very small amount. This will be even bigger than the Barbie.

by "bigger than barbie" is it going to be less limited. because a lot of the barbie items sold out too darn quick. i was lucky to get what i did!

I wish I could see more pictures of the hello kitty and dame edna range, I'd be able to put them on my christmas list for my boyfriend to seek out....poor sod, he gets so confused by my make up wish lists.
