MAC Cancels Rodarte's Juarez Collection
Just two weeks after announcing they will be donating 100% of the global proceeds from their Rodarte collection, MAC Cosmetics has decided to not sell the collection at all.
The company posted a statement on their Facebook page explaining their decision:
"Out of respect for the people of Mexico, the women and girls of Juarez and their families, as well as our MAC Mexican staff and colleagues, MAC has made the decision not to ship the MAC Rodarte limited edition makeup collection.
This decision will have no impact on MAC’s commitment to donate all of its projected global profits from this collection to local and international groups that work to improve the lives of the women and girls of Juarez. We are currently conducting due diligence to ensure we donate to organizations with a proven record of directly supporting the women and girls of Juarez.
MAC and Rodarte are deeply and sincerely sorry and we apologize to everyone we offended. We have listened very closely to the feedback of concerned global citizens. We are doing our very best to right this wrong. The essence of MAC is to give back and care for the community and Rodarte is committed to using creativity for positive social change. We are grateful for the opportunity to use what we have learned to raise awareness on this important issue."

i hate to be a skeptic, but i'm guessing the projections were too big for them to fork over everything to charity. i can't imagine they're taking less of a hit by putting the collection into production and then deciding not to ship it out. that means they are taking a serious financial hit, but it must not be more than what they would have made (given what they had to put in) and would have donated.

So the above blue shade is actually a shade called Zingy. I pointed at Electric Eel and told the SA that's the color I wanted but she grabbed this instead. I don't blame her though cause they looked exactly the same so I won't exchange. It's just like a matte version of Electric Eel.

Yep. that's why I love wearing reddish copper shades and purple. Makes the green stand out.

Got the 224 brush at the airport, and it blends concealer like a dream! I could never ever use anything else! Ahhh, best buy of the year (hopefully)!

I didn't get anything else because the staff was not helpful at all, to say the least...I would have liked to get some CCBs, but they didn't have any. So odd.

the 224 is really brilliant. i have a few supposed dupes, but none of them cut it. i would have been better off buying additional 224s.

First of all Hi,
this is my first post at this forum. I love it. My question is has anyone tried the MAC dazzle lipstick "liquid lurex" ? I like this color but I am not sure if it is too pale.

tinaki2009: I'm new as well I have liquid lurex and it's quite sheer. a deeper base would have been great. I usually put it on top of another lipstick and it looks soo pretty. You can see a little bit of green and pink pop out in the glitter.

Does the face and body foundation cause breakouts? I need to buy their F&B in WHITE because I'm so pale, but I am acne-prone

^ I would not buy face and body. It does have a high oil content so it may make you break out. Also if you are looking for any coverage, I'd go for something else as face and body has practically no coverage.
