thanks for the tip, I've used it once or twice with a lipbrush but i'll take it in and if they won't exchange it maybe I'll see what they say.

They also make a great brush for cream blushes.....
though I don't remember the #

It has both black and natural color hairs.

its #187 which you can use for liquid foundation and any powders.

^Thank you!

Haven't tried it for powders, but it's the best brush for cream I have come across....
actually I love almost all MAC's brushes.

my next brush is definately gonna be the 187, i've heard so many great things about it!

anyone else excited for the lure collection?? it comes out soon ( and is out in pro stores now? maybe? ) i've got a long list of stuff i wanna get ;)

i'm currently on the hunt for 4 out of 5 of the sundresssing e/s. i got in living pink and bateau tonight, but they didn't have relaxing or summer neutral..the two i REALLY wanted!! i'm gonna go search another counter tomorrow....*sigh*

i got my sunsparked pearl beauty powder, and i'm in love!!

I love the shell beauty powder.

and even though I love their limited edtion stuff it makes me so sad to know once it's gone it's gone.

Does anyone have any experience with MAC'S Face and Body Foundation?

Does it give good coverage face wise?

If you're thinking about MAC's F&B you should look into MUFE's F&B. Much better product. And it doesn't go bad like the MAC does.

I have a friend who works for MAC....
they get free stuff from the new, limited collections....
they are encouraged to wear it during the promotion but shelve it when it's up and they don't sell it anymore.
They also get a fantastic discount.
It is a bit hard to get hired I think....
my friend waited about 2 months between putting in an resume and getting an interview....

Good Luck!!:flower:

Over here I believe that the MAC counter people all have to be qualified make-up artists,too...

I've been using my MAC foundation brush for cream blush. I apply my foundation/tinted moisturiser with my hands...so the brush was just sitting there...seems to work ok.

That no 187 brush looks quite funny, hmm:lol: ...like an animal...

^that #187 brush is awsome! its soooo sooo soft. The white tips are the best because you will know how much blush your applying onto your cheeks. And its great for powder foundation too. Glides on smoothly and blends very well.

Yes, I also forgot they give you an in store test....
you bring in a friend and they give you a look to do on her in a certain amount of time.

if you're looking to make the lipstick redder, then do a redder liner and dill in the lips a little so that you blend the lipstick and liner together. and you don't have just the liner around your lips.

the 187 brush is great! you can use it for anything:
powder foundations
loose powders
blushes
bronzers
cream blushes
beauty powders

everything!
you just need to clean it off a little bit inbetween different products.

Hello all..

I am new here and quite sorry if I am posting this in the wrong place... I am looking into working for MAC and was just wondering if any of you have any words of wisdom for me... or if you know specifics about the company (i've been trying to research it and find nothing). Also I heard that employees get a certain amount of free makeup per month and was wondering if anyone knew the specifics of that? so many questions... thanx in advance!

Hi :) I'm a MAC retail artist up north in CA.

Hiring is all dependent upon the manager and what they're looking for in an employee and what kind of personality/artistic ability/etc. they need to add to their counter.

It is kind of hard to be hired because it's all dependant on IF they're hiring. lol.

I didn't have any retail customer service, but I had a lot of product knowledge. And I'm nice. hehe. And I knew how to do makeup of course.

If you do go through the hiring process, just read up on MAC's background and the different services that they have like the B2M, Viva Glam, and anything else that is important to you.

they have the best eye shadows
and i think their make-up is very applicable

The new liquidlast liner from MAC has incredible staying power...I'm impressed.

i bought this foundation
Full Coverage Foundation

Have you heard of the MAC bible? Its an entire guide for employees on how to act, put on makeup, and a description of all their products. Heres a little preview of their table of contents to the whole pdf file

Can someone please tell me what exactly is the Strobe Cream and what does it do for ur skin, his functions basically? And how it is applied. Thanx a bunch

the strobe cream is a moisturizer that has a lumenescence(sp?) to it that gives that glow to the skin. you can wear it as moisturizer by itself if you're looking to just brighten up your face. wear it under foundation to have that glow. or mix it with a liquid or crema foundation to thin out the foundation itself to give a sheerer coverage and to add the glow.
