So did anyone get anything from Sonic Chic / Electroflash?

I picked up Pleasantry blush & Polar Opposites eyeshadow.

Nope, I'm also cutting my Starflash wishlist because I'm getting one of everything from Manish Arora. I instead went to the CCO and got Chartru and Canton Candy paints.

I picked up Love Connection MES, which is the only one that I really wanted.
I was tempted to get a couple of the blushes, but I'm still thinking on that one.

I bought Dainty mineralize blush and I ordered Gentle online (since my counter didn't get it). That's all I'll be getting from these collections. I don't like Mineralize Eye Shadows, so that saves me a ton of money.

None of these really caught me when I was thinking about them...I might reconsider on one of them in a month's time. I am waiting for Heat/Element to be repromoed in September. I'll pick that up, I'll get my Starflash stuff...and then I'm camping out for Manish Arora. Well not camping out, but camping in front of my computer.

I think the MA sounds great but a little too colorful for me. I've recently really cut back on my makeup purchases. I have so much and I buy things just to have them, never use them. 99.9% of my makeup is unused so I have to stop myself from buying more. I've done a lot better. I sound so pathetic, LOL

I'm not really like that, the only things that are for me are the old palettes-special packaging preferred. I found a seller on another site who has the Y & Kei Lookbox. I have the Rock-It! Prom Kit as well as the Sak's exclusive Face Dazzle palette. I mainly buy things that I know I will use, with the occasional have-to-have-it item.

I am a brights girl after all so MA provides what I need. Cult of Cherry is way too dark and Ungaro is considered to be N Collection 2: The Reckoning by some.

I love the old palettes, too. They are my favorites, actually!!

I had the Rock It! but the cream blush made me break out so I gave it to my best friend. I have the Gem eye palette, Jewel eye palette, the Nordstrom Cool eye palette from Printout and the Cool Travel palette. Plus 5 of the recent holiday palettes from 06 and 07.

I wish they'd go back to the old 6 pan palettes like Gem and Jewel were. I don't like the square palettes they've used for the last few years for holiday.

Not to mention I think the current Nordstrom palette stinks.

I love the Colour Forms palettes, just not the colours. I would LOVE to have all of the Holiday 2004 palettes. One down, 8 to go.

Did anyone else get an invite for the Cult of Cherry prerelease party? I got one, I am SO stoked.

Also I got my Colour Forms and I am impressed. I got the Warm Lips, which has the uber-popular Flash of Flesh, Oh Garnet!, and then Fresh and Fun. Oh Garnet is reason alone to get the palette. Flash of Flesh is good too...but Oh Garnet: It's a very nice muted red. Not a bright red, more browned, but not rust or maroon or anything. It's the kind of colour you would wear when you don't want to do red lips but you want the confidence that the red gives you. Haven't tried the others but Oh Garnet was worth the $22.50. Then I also got Gilded Green and Royal Flush. Many stores are sold out of Royal Flush and for good reason: it kicks butt. It's a frosty rust colour but more bronzey-red than orangey-red. Gilded Green is nice too. If you have a ton of greens, or don't do a ton, you could skip it but if you love greens or just pigments in general, GET IT.

Today I picked up a Mineralize blush in Nuance. I can't wait to use it tomorrow!

^6 of the Mineralize blushes are going to be made perm so that is why I am not worrying. Also I get great use out of what I already have (I'm flattening the dome on Northern Light after only two months) and I am trying to use the ones that I don't really touch-get great use out of everything is my M.O.. The six that will return are the biggest sellers. Also they are rereleasing 3 MES duos-three from Antiquitease (Engaging, Family Silver, Earthly Riches) and three from A Muse (Heat/Element, Brightside/Gallery Gal, and Illusionary/Burning Ambition). There is going to be a new perm MSF, and then in Sheer Minerals they are repromoing Petticoat and So Ceylon. There has been rumour about SOMETHING with Gold Deposit. If there is, I will flip out. Those and Manish Arora are my downfall. Figure at the CoC event I might get a couple lipsticks and then some pro pans. I still say CoC is way too dark for me.

I'm kind of bummed the they are re-releasing MES that are fairly recent, the older ones were so awesome (Whim, for example - but they weren't duos). I already have FS & ER so I am passing on them.

^The MES will be around for 6 months, so they're going to be rotating in and out. Who knows, they could bring back the monos. I would jump for joy if Lovestone is brought back. I hope they'd do something similar with MSF's because I want Gold Deposit, Shooting Star, Global Glow, Lightscapade...the only ones I'm saying nay to are Pleasureflush and Metal Rock.

I want Porcelain Pink and Lightscapade MSF too; but noooo MAC won't put them out after I actually have my own $$$!

What I want is a pale pink MSF with metallic raspberry veining-think Helium pigment in MSF form. Helium makes THE best blush.

I have Lightscapade MSF (it is the only one light enough for me) and it's only kind of "eh". I wouldn't hunt for it or pay $$$. I got it at CCO for $17 so it wasn't a big deal.

You should try Laura Geller's Baked blushes, Trista. Have you checked them out. They are very similar to MAC's and I heard rumors they are made by the same company in Italy.

^ part of the reason i wanna get lightscapade msf is because it look like it have the similar effect of meteorite by guelain and yea it might flatter my weird complexion well. but then again of there is any other equivalent out in the market that is not too expensive i would consider them too

Who is planning a Starflash haul? I didn't think I'd want anything but I saw swatches I know I need Smoke & Diamonds (which is apparently a better, more pigmented Sweet Sienna) and Lotusland because I am crazy about purples.

I will probably get two or three of the shadows-Lotusland, Sunset B., and Dreammaker. I don't have the money to do a huge haul, and Manish Arora is going to positively wipe me out.
