Did anyone get hk lipglass "nice to be nice? If so comments, is it highly pigmented? I want to know if the orange shows up. Can someone show a lip pic or swatch on their hand?

Thanks!
I don't have a pic, but it is definitely on the sheerer end. Colour-wise, it's similar to Shine Manish-but not as pigmented.

I kept going back and forth on whether or not I wanted any of the Hello Kitty line, because of the swatches and reviews that started showing up online saying it wasn't great. Got back from Mac and I ended up buying Big Bow lipstick which is much more pigmented than I was led to believe, nice kitty lipgloss and tippy blush. I'm not a big lipgloss girl but the HK ones are all pretty and it was really hard to choice just one.....might go back for mimmy after payday :P

Thanks trista,

I checked it out today. Not very much pigment in the lipglass at all. Lychee is still my best bet for peach but I would love something more tangerine

I got the strayin lipstick (frosty midtone mint XD), and it is like the cutest thing ever XD
the colour is cute, but my lip is a bit too dry for it while the frosty bit stays with the tube...
btw the shade reminds me of a bubble gum pink....

Does anyone know what the HK beauty powders are supposed to do? They just look almost like flesh colors to me, and I was wondering what their purpose is.

Beauty Powder is like a subdued face highlight powder...they are meant for more all-over use than a blush, per se...however they also are decent as a blush for people who don't like a ton of colour. I have Alpha Girl from Heatherette and it is definitely a bright pink in the pot, but goes on very subtle. I do use it as a blush but a bit more all-over as well, to kind of give me a flushed look.

Both of the HK ones are definitely ones that could be used all over. Tahitian Sand is like a paler bronzer to me, so if you're really fair I guess you could use a 187 with it instead of bronzer, to give a subtle look. Pretty Baby is pinker but still brown, so it could be nice for the same sort of thing.

I have some collection information from a friend of mine!

Style Warriors will have animal-print accessories, as well as I believe animal-print packaging. I have a promo image of it posted in the Eugenia Mandzhieva thread, as SHE IS THE MODEL!!!! Anyways, here are the preliminary deets:

Dazzleglass:
Love Alert
Bare Necessity
Funtabulous

Eyeshadow:
Tempting (perm)
Vibrant Grape (pro)
Night Manuevers
Soft Force
Bright Future (could potentially be a yellow)

Beauty Powder Blush:
Eversun (repromo)
On A Mission

Bronzer:
Refined Golden
Solar Riche

Softsacs

Double Dazzle is repromoting Dazzlelash-as well as having 18 new PERMANENT Dazzleglasses! 11 are repromos, and there are 7 new ones: Moth to Flame, Smile, Girl's Delight, Extra Amps, Totally Posh, Goldyrocks, and one other. This is a May release, I believe.

Rose Romance I believe will come out in late April-early May. The only info I gathered is that there will be Turquatic Hue: Dejarose.

Grand Duos are duo Mineralize blushes-one side being a mono, the other veined. They are going to be $22 each...but super-pigmented and lasting for years. I am guessing they will either come out around the same time as Sugarsweet, or Double Dazzle.

Naked Honey is coming out on the 11th of June, and it is interesting as it has bodycare! Here are the deets from Temptalia:

Lipglass:
She's A Star-Light neutral gold
Queen Bee-Apricot w/multidimensional pearl
Buzz-Dark copper-brown w/multidimensional pearl

Eyeshadow
Creme de Miel-Light frosty yellow-gold
Pollinator-Reddened peach w/ pearl
Buckwheat-Dark copper-brown w/multidimensional pigments

Highlight Powder
Honey Light-Light peachy gold
Golden Nectar-Muted golden tan

Skin Salve (in a tin)
Body Cream
Body Wash
2 perfumes-Naked Honey and Africanimal

Queen Bee and Pollinator look GORGEOUS from the promo shots...:)

^ I have the tinted lip conditioner, and I like it and its a pretty colour but I don't find it all that conditioning. I don't know wether thats just because its tinted though.

is MAC lip conditioner good?!

I loooove MAC lip conditioner. I think it helped me to break my addiction to drug store brand chapsticks. The MAC lip conditioner doesn't create "chapstick withdrawal" as I call it, where your lips feel even drier once it wears off and you need to constantly reapply. Also regular chapstick feels really waxy in comparison, like its sitting on top of your lips rather than penetrating and making them softer.

I tried one of the HK ones out and I definitely like the feel of it. It's really conditioning, which my constantly dry lips need.

So I ended up going to the HK event after all-let's just say my mind wasn't really changed about a lot of the stuff. Here are some of my thoughts:
Lipglasses: Skip them all.
Lipsticks: Big Bow is best, and I have heard good stuff about Strayin'.
Eye quads: My look was done with the Too Dolly quad and honestly, don't waste your $$$. Deep Truth is way better than Stately Black, Yogurt is blah, and Too Dolly is very sheer. Save your money and get Aquavert instead. As far as the other one goes, it's nothing to write home about.
Pigments: Deep Blue Green is truly a deep blue green, but most people won't have a use for it. I find Teal to be too dark for me...so there you go. Milk is really pretty. A lot of people say that it's like Helium, and I disagree-it's like a pinker, lighter version of Lovely Lily. It's a very wearable shade, but I have two jars of Helium.
Glitters: Reflects Very Pink is not the greatest, as it barely shows up half the time, however Reflects Blue is gorgeous. It's exactly like the blue pearl that's in some Dazzleglasses, like Ms. Fizz.
Blushes: I had Fun & Games used on me and it's a really nice peach-it's good for warmer skintones, and because it's a Beauty Powder blush it's going to be sheerer. Tippy is gorgeous, and I think cool skintones would love it.
Beauty Powders: I did buy Pretty Baby, and it is on the paler side. I think people with lighter skintones will have the most luck with these. They are really nice used with a brush like a 181 or 182, or just used over blush.
TLC's: They are definitely very pigmented and very conditioning. Pink Fish-the lighter one-is very pale. The brighter pink one is one that I will pick up at the CCO eventually, because a) the tin is SO cute, and b) there is a lot of colour.

So I got Reflects Blue and Pretty Baby...

I ended up getting the plush, both makeup bags, pink fish TLP, deep blue green pigment, on the prowl nail polish, tahini sand BP and the lashes. I use pretty much the same makeup every day and dont pay much attention to the collections so this is a ton for me. I want the pink nailpolish too but it's sold out.

I thought popster TLP was a very pretty color but too bright for me, a light coat of pink fish doesnt look like I'm wearing anything but gives my lips a nice color. I actually got a backup of it since I'm kind of addicted to lip balm. The deep blue green is unique and very pretty but harder to use. I plan to do the smokey eye look with it for night. Tahini sand is a great bronzer for pale skin if you just want a healthy look and not light you've been out in the sun all day.

I will definitely get Tahitian Sand at the CCO...but for now, I have a lot of bronzer-ish stuff anyways. I also want Popster as it is my kind of colour-I am definitely into the brighter pinks for the lip. I find that I am tending to do a lot of the same stuff at this time-purple eyes and so forth-but I am trying to use some stuff up so that I have a set of empties for B2M'ing an Aquavert. I have 2/6 items, and 1 shadow almost finished. Then I have a couple shadows with a dime-sized amount of pan showing, and then if I use Tropic Glow almost exclusively I could have my 6.

And no, I refuse to depot-against my values:)

i think the hello kitty pink nailpolish is very similar to "steamy" (part of the barbie collection now a permanent color it seems) so i would reccomend getting that guessgirl:flower:

ive been wearing the HK pink nailpolish this week. its not too outrageous.

tata your pale right? I also love how cle de peau is creamy and smooth yet sticky to the imperfections well but they only have 3 colors and the lightest is a little bit too dark. I mix it with mac concealer to get the perfect color but I just found dermablend to cover up bruises and I think it may be my new favorite for really stubborn pimples.

I am indeed ;) The lightest for me I think is not too dark but too yellow, but when I blend it's all good ... the way it blends is honestly amazing.

I've never tried Dermablend, I always thought it would be way too heavy ... is it not?

Unfortunately even at my advanced age I break out ... it's all about stress

So I went by the MAC counter for some basics, and also got

  • Capricious lipstick--I was looking for a very soft & subtle "French" reddish tone (opposite of what I usually wear )
  • Chignon lipstick from the Brunettes, etc. collection--it's quite similar to the LE (and long gone) Strange & Exotic :woot:, which I love (purple frost). I have a replacement I got from eBay, so I tested the two together in the store. This is just a bit lighter and more purple vs plum.
  • Pincurl eyeshadow, from the same collection--it's a really beautiful soft pearl grey with lavender iridescence. I'm wearing it today with Dovefeather.

Your right tata dermablend is very heavy, I wouldnt put it underneath the eyes but it's great for really stubborn breakouts that other concealers dont cover well. It also comes in enough shades so no blending required.

I want the cremesheen glass in Fashion Scoop soooo bad. I didn't have the time to try it on, but it looked gorgeous

I'm not much of a lipgloss girl but I bought the HK one in nice kitty and I'm really digging the texture and feel of Mac's lipglass. I was just wondering if anyone here had any recommendations for a lipglass that either had more pigment to it or had a lot more glitter in it. I see on their website that they have several different formulations, I just find their website swatches missleading.

Also, has anyone here tried their strobe cream/liquid? I'm really curious

^ There's an LE one right now, pink, with lots of pigment & glitter ... Strawberry is in the name I think. I'm sure someone here will know what I'm talking about :p ;)
