The Mascara Thread

I know all of you already talked about Diorshow iconic mascara, but i gotta say that i bought it two days ago and i'm loving it so much

Which mascara would you recommend that only gives volume , cause I am wearing glasses so my lashes can*t be to long.

I think Helena Rubinstein's Lash queen is pretty good, tho I would say that the Dior Show give me prettier lashes, but the HR doesn't give me panda eyes..so I usually use more than one mascara..

I can never decide between Diorshow Iconic and YSL effect faux cils, so yesterday I decided to wear them both; combed through with Iconic, feathered on some faux cils then did a final sweep of Iconic and WOW. talk about fluttery lashes!! I did this on my top lashes only but they were full, soft, volumized, seperated and looked uber long. Success!!!

nextnewface: Honestly I haven't tried drugstore mascaras in a while, but I have tried the Maybelline mascara I forgot its name (so bad with names) the one with wands on each side. You apply the white one on your lashes to lengthen them then use the other end of the brush and apply the black mascara on top of it, it was amazing, great price and great quality. I bought it 5 years ago but I still think they make 'em. Good luck!

oh i know it! i only use the black though but i know this is stupid but i like make-up that comes off easily  and it does very easily haha

I change my masacara alot (trying to go through a lot to see what works best)
and I'm currently using the one from Sephora. It's great!!! Its the perfect black and gives them amazing length and seperates them well :D

^On the face or as in you don't get much product? I've never tried Rimmel before, so I have no clue

Not on the lashes, but they tend to get old fast..like dry and old..haha I don't know how to explain..but they dry out faster than any other mascara I've had and they lose some of their effect, like if it's a mascara that's suppose to give you volume it will only make your lashes black when it gets old..does this make sense??

Do you guys use more than one mascara when you're doing your lashes for a everyday look?

sometimes I do, I used to do this everyday but now I tend to rush a lot more to work.

I curl then use a layer of max factor 2000 calories and then top it off with diorshow.

yup, like i said on the page before, i'm now addicted to using a layers of diorshow iconic, followed by a sweep of YSL Effect Faux Cils, then a quick final comb-through with diorshow iconic . Works a charm.

In regards to rimmel mascaras drying out, i've never used one but i must say effect faux cils only seems to last about 3 weeks before it needs replaced; they go crusty soooo quickly!! but i  it, so i put up with its short lifespan

I would say that the Rimmel ones are good since they are cheap..haha so I guess you get what you're paying for.

I almost always use more than one mascara since I have so short and thin lashes..

I've been using a different mascara on my top and bottom lashes. Because my top lashes I want to be lengthened and more volume but my bottom lashes I just want a bit of colour on and some mascaras can look to heavy on my bottom lashes and smudge but not do enough on my top lashes.

Great one for the bottomlashes is the NaturalGlossy mascara by Clinique....
