10 minutes ago I was watching Chanel Paris-Byzance show and I just fell asleep, so during my nine-minute sleep I had a epiphany and I decided to wake up and create this thread.
I would like to point that the level of boringness of the show is not necessarily associated with the fact that you love or hate the clothes that were shown, maybe it's the music, or the set...

So the first one that come to my mind is the Chanel Paris-Byzance, don't take me wrong, I love the clothes but that music is just depressing!
So guys, which is the most boring fashion show you saw?

Versace FW 2005. The models and music MADE that show, but the collection itself was rather plain.

As long as the clothes themselves are interesting, I don't much care about the setting. Chanel PreFall 11 is completely fine for me. The vibe was so enthralling.

Dior Resort 11 bored me to death. The orchestra and blooming color didn't save it, it's about the clothes after all

Versace FW 2005. The models and music MADE that show, but the collection itself was rather plain.

How can a Versace show be boring?? :o
but okay, it's all a matter of taste.

Personaly, the music is the most important factor for me.
Sure, everything has to fit in a way, but the music just makes the whole mood of the show. That doesn't nessecarely mean, a show with slow music (or songs which are not my taste) is boring it still depends on the setting + clothes + modelcast.

A boring show that comes to my mind might be YSL FW10.. I watched it and after 2 min I clicked it away cos I was bored as hell

Recently? Narciso Rodriguez spring 2011

I was about to say the same thing!!!! Gooood, the most boring show ever..most NY fashion week shows are really really dull, except for Marc Jacobs...

I agree about both Chanel Pre Fall 2011 and N.Rodriguez SS11.

When I saw the thread title I said to myself that I MUST post in this thread how boring the Chanel-Byzance show was - the clothes were quite good but the presentation of the clothes was zzzzz, so it was interesting to note that once I clicked on the link and read a few posts that I was not alone in this feeling. In addition to being boring, there was something also amateurish about both the show and the production quality of the video. I have seen good, non-boring salon shows and understated shows before so it can be done, but this particular show had no spark and the somnolent presentation brought the collection down a notch or two.

The Chloe Spring 2011 had some standout clothes, but the show was boring and amateurish; very amateurish; very, very amateurish.

I feel asleep while watching Prada F/W 10...the music very drowsy, the show itself very dull, with that unnecessary long runway, the lighting...I'm all about pumping music and gimmick (runway decoration, runway twist or whatever), if can't do that..just give me a fine damn collection to grab my attention.

I do agree that Narciso Rodriguez's spring show was exceptionally dull (and I stayed up late to watch it live from NY) but I do find the clothes beautiful.
I can't stay awake during any recent Dior show, not just because the clothes are so uninteresting but often because Dior post videos that don't vary between shots - it's just a single view, straight on, of the runway, and so if there happened to be any interesting details, you'd miss them.
I also find Gucci shows just the most boring thing to watch - they go on for hours and the music is usually a typical runway clicky-beat tune and the silhouettes are all exactly the same.

^ WHAT? One of the best Ive seen from the House of Versace in AGES imho!!!!

Im not sure about a show ... I was thinking Loewe under Narciso but I realized if there was a prize to most boring FW it wud be handed out to Pasarela Cibeles (Madrid FW) Hands down.

I kinda wanted to say: "-Madrid- Stop trying to make FW happen! Its not going to happen!" lol

Hmm... I agree with get fashion, the two latest Versace shows (FW10, SS11) have been so utterly boring and insipid.

Not sure with Chanel Pre-Fall 2011. I kinda liked the private, cozy and slow paced tone of the show. Personally, I liked it because it wasn't this parade of fast-marching girls that you can't barely watch any outfit - and being a collection so rich in details, I think it was a wise step - the details were so exquisite, almost couture-like.

Boring... I'd say any collection by Hannah MacGibbon at the Chloé house. Probably the latest collection I watched in full length was SS10 and that was only because of the soundtrack.

And I almost fell asleep (really) while watching Dior S/S 11 show. There was practically nothing to wake me up.

Oh, that reminds me. Oscar de la Renta for Balmain was always extremely zzzzzz.

Anything from Chanel. The clothes are always the same every season.
