The Nicest Fashion Personality

interesting thread as most people in the industry are so extremely BITTER and certainly SOUR.
erdem if you are out there, you are without a doubt THE sweetest person in fashion... like i just wanna fold you up put you in my pocket and take you everywhere
that is about it!

From experience, Olga Sherer is incredibly sweet and personable. Madisyn Ritland is as well.

Also, Alber Elbaz is a very sweet man. I met him at a Lanvin trunk show at Barney's two years ago, and clearly I was not a customer (it was for the women's Fall/Winter 2008 collection) but I was just there to meet him and see the clothes, and he was very personable and talked to me for a good 15 minutes.

Bill Cunningham. I would LOVE to run into him some day, just to watch him at work- and if he talked, it'd be heaven, he always seems like such a nice man.

I'd also love to meet Susie Bubble in person, she's one of my greatest inspirations and an absolute doll via blog.

KK seems quite nice, I once saw Ajuma at a fashion show and she seemed to get along with everyone and didnt mind taking pics with people

wait this means models too?
then I would say
Charlotte di Calypso
Freja Beha
Alyona Osmanova
Iekeliene Stange

Tim Blanks, he seems really nice in his reviews...
Mademoiselle Agnes, she's crazy and fun
Hilary Alexander, She seems like a kind person well except that one time a Marc Jacobs show was delayed one hour, she was so pissed LOL

I had the same experince with Alber i saw him in a shopping mall here in town, he is an angel.

I thought that was Suzy Menkes? Who also seems like she has a really nice personality- as does Hilary, though Hilary can be impatient too- I remember Susie once saying that she (Hilary) once grabbed Susie's leg to position it so that Susie's shoes were shown off a bit better, for a Telegraph streetstyle feature- this was years ago, and it made me laugh.

EDIT: By "Susie", I meant the Bubble! Sorry if things got confusing.

he seems very very nice but what i don't understand is why he's such good friends with Lula's Leith Clark. She may dress and look cute, but I know from personal experience she's not nice at all

Suzy Menkes, Lucinda Chambers, Tim Blanks

Suzy Menkes comes across as very down-to-earth but I've had a friend seat her at fashion shows and she was so rude to her that she was crushed (she's a huge fan of hers!)

Ouch, that's not good to hear, but my nosy side says, details, please! Preferably in the Most Irritating Fashion Personalities thread or even in a PM if you think posting about it in this thread would be OT.

*sigh* I'm really disappointed to hear that, and feel bad for your friend. It's never nice to hear that people you admire are, well, less than admirable.

While I do not doubt that the Dolce and Gabbana team are great designers and savvy business people, they also seem like nice guys, I hope this is the correct perception.

Tim Blanks, I agree, he is not pretentious like most other fashion journalists and he has fun with fashion references. Obviously, his knowledge of fashion runs so deep that he does not need to keep up an attitude as a front to knowing nothing.

Anna Dello Russo also is the same story. She is not pretentious, she is accommodating of all types of people (bloggers, etc) and she has fun with fashion.

To me, the people in the industry that are the nicest tend to be the most fun but also the more knowledgeable.
