He must have killer handlers to land him all these high fashion street-creds covers: First US Interview, now L'Uomo. Too bad he doesn’t have a half-decent stylist.

Actually i see why the fashion world is latching on to him. When he was in One Direction, he was always the best dressed. He has a good look, compared to his peers.

And i don't think he looks "typical". He's of Pakistani descent and you never see south Asian men on covers. So i think it's refreshing.

But that hair, beard, tats and the Eurotrash wardrobe is all too typical of the Grindr and gayporn twink look, though. Other than his ethnicity, he’s just another dime-a-dozen typical trendy twink.

Oh well, if the Jenners can infest high fashion, why not him...?

(BTW, I don’t know how familiar you are with young South Asian men fashion, but it’s pretty much a Eurotrash look with lots of bling and bright colors. So… he’s pretty typical even amongst Pakistani guys/ Beeba boy fashion.)

Why did they have to block the cover haha. Ale Ambrosio seems to be on a roll with the men's covers lately. Perhaps gearing up to leave VS, but wants to prove she's still got it. Her Maxim cover was the best selling cover of the magazine in 2 years.

I dont actually have a problem with her covering men's titles. That is where she belongs, after all.

I think the pairing looks good, although from the pic it looks like Ronaldo's peel went terribly bad, or too much false tan. Either way, the Americans will lap this up, I'm sure.

Can't wait to see the full cover! I'm a huge fan of Cristiano and I loved his VF cover back in 08? But I'm not a fan of Alessandria at all so I rather see someone like Adriana Lima or someone else.

Who is his target audience? As a 25 year old male I find nothing interesting or even relevant about him. He's not selling me any magazines that's for sure.

I don't think it makes much difference. For a magazine like L'Uomo Vogue having Zayn on the cover will produce press coverage internationally. It'll grab them so headlines for what he says, the images, etc. Bring more attention to the magazine.

Any idea if this might be a multi-cover issue?
I wouldn't think Cristiano is popular or well known enough in the US to carry the months cover on his own.

Well, he's arguably one of the most famous athletes in the world and she's arguably one of the most lusted-after models in the world, so it's not as though they've thrown two unknowns on the cover. I think it will appeal to gay men who find him attractive, straight men who find her attractive, people who are into fitness (since it's the Body Issue), and people who are fans of his work on the field.

I guess it's strange to have a football (soccer if you're American) star on the cover of GQ America, but he's a respected athlete and a lot of men like his fashion sense.

I guess Alessandra was added as a push, in case those who don't care about him, will buy it for her.
