Alexander Skarsgard looks like a pervert on the cover of GQ Style. A bit of a waste to give him and Terry the cover. It just looks like a series of hard-posing shots. The guy doesn't have the wit for these quirk type of edits. He knows only to sell sex.

Must say that except the insufferable Off-White guy and his 'models', the rest of Essential's features are quite good! Particularly like the styling in Ben Bowers' edit with all the cosy autumn looks.

Skarsgard can't do much except sex... and without his body here, there's nothing worth looking at really.

This Essential Homme is a solid issue.

That Virgil person has a feature— not a fashion story, so his brand of highly-hyped but totally-forgetable designs do not dampen the strong run of fashion stories in this issue. Even the robotic Brandon Flowers’ edit is tolerable.

Now if only there was a strong art director to pull all the graphic design elements into a sharp presentation...

The Skarsgård edit looks like icky Terry self portraits right down to the glasses.

I agree the Essential Homme and GQ Australia Sept issue look great.

Men's fashion photography seems to be taking the place in creativity that women's fashion shoots had in years past. Far superior.

British GQ's obsession with Sadiq Khan is truly nauseating at this stage. And then it's rounded out by Zayn, Adwoah and Jared Leto? Thank God I don't buy it regularly so I'll gladly give this a miss if I don't see the Nick Cave cover.
