Style.com's Top Ten F/W 07.08 Collections

Balenciaga seems to be either loved or hated which is so typical of Paris fashion. I personally started out hating it but I'm really appreciating it now.

I think its an adequate list. I always find the style.com top tens to be quite political. Im glad to see John Galliano there, I think Im the only one who is pleased to see Nina Ricci up there!
I was surprised Versace and Givenchy didnt get a mention after style.com gave them such rave reveiws...?

Well actually, style.com gave Givenchy the usual lukewarm review as always. Namely, it was quite good, in fact his best ready-to-wear collection to date (which is I guess a little different than usual), but, not good enough. They are so predictable...

I love hearing everyone's opinions on this; thank you. I too loved Givenchy, but admittedly I haven't really looked at much anything else yet.

I am a BIG fan of preppy clothing and I was still weirded out with how much navy (that's two years ago)!, prep, and minimalism I was seeing on the runways.

Then again, I am not a FALL FASHION person by any means.

I've tried searching, but can anyone link me to the thread (if it so exists) about Style.com's Top Ten S/S 07 Collections?

Yeah there is one but that one sucked even more than this season.

I like most of the picks, but I'm really surprised that Prada isn't on the list this season. (THANK GOODNESS!) But a few look like they were put there due to loyalty...

i absolutely agree with most of this list, especially the more unexpected choices like proenza schouler and giambatista valli. however, jil sander seemed predictable to me, and ysl just seemed like a huge letdown after how great last season was.
