Okay, so the top I got from eBay is a FAKE. I have several other tops that I purchased from department stores, and the fabric quality is pure heaven on those. The fabric on the eBay top is total crap. I am returning it, but just so others out there know, this line is actually being faked. I hope noone here is bidding on the other top from the same seller...
 
^ :shock: I am very surprised The Row is being counterfeited. Thanks for the heads up, rochas. It's unfortunate this happened to you!
 
Rochas - I can't believe that! It's really shocked me that fakes are being made of the row already...what did the seller have to say?
 
I just now emailed them, so I haven't heard anything back yet. I am curious to see what they have to say.

what seller did you buy it from?

i got a row cardi and the feeling is great but the chain was black which is why I'm a bit skeptical. leyla - it's the one you have in grey but in black...
 
I got it from turqfuchsia. Hope you weren't scammed as well.

The chain on mine is gold, but it's just a chain - no oval logo part in the middle.
 
I was looking at the seller's feedback, and 9 out of the 10 items she's sold are from The Row. Several of them are the same item. For example, she has sold 3 "long sleeve charcoal tees". That's a little sketchy. And if there is no oval on the chain, it has to be fake.
 
rochasfille, are you sure it's fake? I just can't believe The Row has already been faked because usually only very popular and high in demand items are being faked (like It bags or designer shoes). Could the oval thing have fallen off? This shirt from the same seller has that oval thing in the middle (or at least so it looks) but maybe it's pic from a different ****? Item # 280309313681.
 
The pictures for that listing are the same as the ones from my listing. The pictures look like they are of an authentic top, but that's not the top you get in the mail.
 
That doesn't sound good. Did you already hear back from the seller? Could you maybe post a pic of the top you received so we can compare it and see he differences? I was very close to bidding on that top myself but now I don't think so.

oh, I thought you had a heather-grey version..

it feels greatbut after reading this thread, i am scared it is a fake - if solely because of the black chain. It does have the little oval row on it though, unlike that other poor girl's shirt.
 
I still have not heard back from the seller...but I will at least post pics of the top tomorrow.

The first thing that threw me off was before I even bought the tee - the seller had it listed as The Row by Ashley "Olson." Once I got the top, I immediately knew it was a fake because the fabric was just so...generic. The chain was the final sign that this top was in fact a fake. baldy, I don't know about your cardi, but I can only assume that since all of the other seller's items appear to be faked, yours may be too. Also, I think the fabrication (wool blend) would make it easier for it to appear real, when in fact, it may not be. The tees are so refined that a knockoff is much easier to spot, and I most definitely have spotted one. And I still have not heard back from the seller. 24 more hrs, and I am filing a claim...
 
that is awful. i'm so sorry to hear that. i think you should definitely file a claim. i am really shocked that there are fakes of the row.
