in order to protect member from getting personally attacked, we need to ban all 'personal' pics from being posted at streetstyle forums.

PLEASE use our 'personal style' forum for posting any of your 'personal style' pics -being scenestyle or whatever) and kindly alert the team if any 'personal' pics get posted at ANY streetstyle forum..

at some point we will try to go back and move any personal pics already posted at this thread

as for the looks posted, i only somehow like the girl with the transparent ecru blouse, but then, she's hardly scene chic.. she seems to me like a mock-secretary doll, out for the night :)

ahh the make up at the very last pic posted :yuck:

awww that sucks because there was some really "scene" style pics taken last night...keeping this forum in mind. :(

i think this rule is a bit strict. i know the streetstyle forum on the LA area is almost all shots of a gal and her friends at various parties, but the pictures ARE soooooooo good!

cant we just realize that if we post pics of ourselves, then we are going to have to be expected to be openly criticized? Cant we just realize not everyone shares of fashion views and choices and deal with it like civilized adults?

^ we have a SPECIAL forum JUST FOR PERSONAL STYLE and a thread where tFS members share their own pics

you guys are more than welcome posting you fab pics over there

hey, if you have pics of your friends, feel free to post them here

for your own personal scene style pics please use our personal style forum..

well i happen to be in the pics as well. i agree, the rule is a bit strict. someone posted a picture of me from cobrasnake that was not the best shot. i jokingly said i wish that pic never came up cause it was horrible but whats done is done LOL. i was not the one who posted it. its kind of weird that id have to be in some party photo site in order to post pics here. what if someone else posts a pic of me or i accidentally post a party pic of another member?

anyway, i would like to share some pics of me and my friends dressed "scene" here that turned out pretty good. posting them on the personal style forum would be ok, but they fit the category or "scene street style" better than anything else. when did this new rule apply?
:)

^ its ok to post the pics as long as its not YOU posting them
i cant see the issue why not using the personal style forum thread like everyone else
our PS forum is created just for members exchanging comments and pics

enough with the personal issues,
lets go back to discussing some pics please

I love how the Misshapes kids are trying sooooo hard to be cool and edgy and the London kids just ARE.....

I was just thinking how it's the exact opposite of what you just said lol. I think the Londoners are trying too hard. Also I think that the nu rave thing is kinda lame now when everyone in London seems to be doing it, it doesn't look very good, the only thing cool about it is if you're unique, which they aren't.

   See i think the edgy hipster thing is kinda lame now that everyone in NY seems to be doing it.....wanna switch places?

i dont really get the trying toooo hard argument. i mean, its not that complicated...if they were trying all that hard i would think everybody would look like the girls in the paris fashion week street style thread. personally, i kind of like the slightly ignorant, working within a limited scope of what one thinks looks good look. its kind of cute and narrow minded and ******** which i find a bit attractive....and if anything i think it reeks of apathy more than effort. but yeah that london nu wave junk is f*cking pathetic.

Personally, the reason I love London style is because it's so shamelessly in your face and over the top.
While LA club style always seems to be trying to impress people, and trying to fit in a niche of "cool-ness", I think in London people are more willing to dress outrageously and not give a damn about what others think.
Some outfits are just horrendous, but you have to love them for having the guts to wear it.

Personally, I look to the LA club scene for inspiration, and although sometimes there is good style in London, I prefer looking at London pictures more just because it looks like so much fun!

I'll post some more London pictures in a minute.

i agree with you doktor..

you are back! yay! :flower: i missed you already..

hey miss60 i would bang you in all of the pictures postedB).

i dont think those london scene kids are more shamless its just a different scene. if you go to an electro/ nu rave party basically anywhere (for sure in newyork) you'll find the same over the top sh*t. i have friends who drop like thousands on goofy bernard willhelm junk and paint like gigantic eyeballs on their foreheads etc ec just to look like wierdos at raves.

looking like a weirdo in a society that's been obliging you to look like barbie (or ben) its a pretty healthy -even though predictable/monitored - reaction

^hehe...yes.

i like the whole nu-rave over the top sh*t. but i ll never drop thousands so i can flaunt my jeremy scott or bernard willhelm(if im a guy)..that's just a bit ridiculous.
personally...i dont like the whole "edgy-hipster" thing kids do in pictures, though it's tempting at times thinking if i can really fool people into believing im an edgy hipster. come on and give us a smile! :D

doktor, im very flattered

i dont really like the nurave scene either.. its just messy look with random as colorful and bright as possible sheit put together...colorful shirts with black jeans etc. is ok but when you put all colors of rainbow and neon to the mix with some stuff hanging from here and there etc. etc.. its just a mess!
