They are still rejecting traditional ideas of 'attractiveness', and I give them credit...i think the main reason this gets a lot of hate is because the wearers seem to think it is *different*, *unique*, and "individual* - when in reality - well, it's not any of those things.
Rockxprincess - thank for the pictures but you have to source them.. it's tFS policy =)
Sort of, but not really. For me, I think that they're mostly taking things that are traditionally "attractive" (Miniskirts, hair dye, long eyelashes, lipstick) and giving it a twist. I don't think they're rejecting traditional ideas much less than they are just approaching them in a different manner. They are still rejecting traditional ideas of 'attractiveness', and I give them credit...
That's true—I was mostly focusing on someone's earlier comment, that they "all think they're models"; their photographic appeal might be different from lots of fashion models', but it's still there, I thought to myself... And they create their own ideals, in that sense, rather than sitting around wishing to all be 5'10". The more I look, the more I do think they resemble pink-haired Paris Hiltons, but then everyone laughs about Paris modeling, too.Sort of, but not really. I find it annoying that these people consider themselves individuals, even though they all look the same!
that so fab, mk wore this, i must get it. ahh prada headband!!!
...as for those of you bashing on this who think youre SO unique/elite/fashionistas and that these people arent individuals/unique etc. you should seriously open up your eyes. everyone has either a 'look' theyre going for (INCLUDING YOU) OR ...are all TRYING to be AHEAD/DIFFERENT. and JUST BECAUSE you WEAR dior, lv, burberry, chloe, prada etc etc... DOESNT MEAN ARE UNIQUE!!! or have a good sense of style.
Yep. cyberworld/people, pseudo internet personas. Amazing. I'm 17, and well...I haven't even had an interest in this. I would say it is more akin to a Freshman in High School than a Senior. To each their own I guess though, my sister is the same way. It's very young (no offense to the teens on here). My sister is 17 and always talks about the scene kids. But when I search for people on myspace who are my age (I'm almost 23) I can never find them. It's very hilarious to me because there are so many out there who look like those girls in those pictures above, and they try to be original but they fall short.
