its funny how the topic is scene STREET style, but mostly its all clubbing pics. i dont think most of "scene" kids dress like that everyday..at least i dont (not saying i dont dress nice, oh no)

there are some pics of me and my friend(s), ill post some pics in a moment..i think our outfits are considered "scene".

here are some pics from l.a. that my friend took of me and my "scene" friends when they visited us.

janice loves you too. :D

The people in my posts are in a bar, but they do wear those clothes everyday, I see them around.

well yeah but they do a little extra when they go out makeup/accessories vice. and maybe more courage in dressing too. and then there are those days when you just wanna wear something comfy and not so scene... :P

Let’s just hope Gwen Stefani doesn’t get invited to one of those parties.

actually she was already invited and didn't went, or the rumours said she was going to be on misshapes

miss6o, you and your friends look good! :) as a fellow finn, can i come to visit you too? haha. just kidding.
those red boots (5th pic) are amazing!!

well, to a large extent scene kid trends arent limited to scene kids so when you remove them from their natural habbitat ( the bar) they may still convey a scene aesthetic but brand wise or whatever they kind of blend in. for example i see a billion people wearing AA v-necks everyday, but if i get my picture taken with one ( or basically anything) at misshapes it will be labelled scene. skinny jeans, dior homme, cory's marc jacobs shoes etc etc can further attest to this. its the basic premise behind trends. not that was really your point, but yeah...i agree...i think no matter what your style is most people tend to dress in preportion to their enviroment.

i agree. i just meant that when the scene kids go out at night and get their pic taken they do something little extra effort. but e.g. when i was in vegas so many people yelled "emo" or "scenesters" to our group. and it wasnt even during the evening hours.. so i guess yeah there is a certain label that scenesters carry anywhere they go (although i hate being labelled emo or scene hahahha). but as in makeup vice and accessories vice i do have club bags and shoes.. if that makes any sense. but i think this is a fact with other "scenesters" too. :D i guess it all comes down to how you put the outfit together, even on a normal day.. but sometimes you just gotta blend, at least a little. ;)

Yeah, I think it does kind of depend on where you are. It's like this, my 'normal' clothes are still not most people's idea of normal clothes, but I don't 'dress up' as much for daily life as for clubs. I realise that if I wear a black leotard, leopard-print tights and pirate boots to mail a package at the post office, I am going to get a lot of unwanted attention, whereas if I'm djing at an indie club it would be fine. So I try to mellow the aesthetic a bit when I run errands and stuff.

Finally some REAL scene pics! The ones from the clubs honestly look like something I could pick up & buy at any thrift store or H&M near me. It's typical & I've always seen clothes like that. But you do look like what I think scene is. But sad thing is, I see high school kids walking around in my small town at the mall looking like that...But it's more costumey. You all look great! & I love the red boots too.

Hi!! Does anyone know where (preferably not vintage stores, because I don't have many here) that I can find some glasses like this? Anywhere online or brands or anything? Thanks!!!

Well about 5-6 yrs ago now I got some Emperio Armanni frames like that. not the same exact shape, they are not so square but they are thick black frames. I know they make more since then and still make that same frame.

also I'm sure fi you went to a glasses place and asked, they'd be able to show you some new ones or at least to give you an idea of which kind you'll like. Lots of designers make these black rimmed glasses but it's a matter of personal taste and how it suits your face so it'd be best to try some diff kinds and shapes on :flower:

Ooh I didnt see those pics above in #2662... miss6o you look great!

basically everyone dulls them self up a little more when they go out to the club...though in this circle the motive seems to be to look fashion savvy rather than like getting your balls licked or to 1 up the rest of the stay at home trophy moms with your new d&g dress...but yeah it does to an extent defeat the purpose of calling it street style.

2677 post is awesome, i love the outfits on the guys [except for the last one :p ].

keep them coming, miss!. :mowhawk:
