The OK interview is ridiculous. Nicole is far too old to still be "learning lessons" about drink/drug driving. She really is living in a world of her own, it's quite shocking. Does she not realise she's not a teenager anymore

On this past year: “I don’t consider it one of the worst. I think this was a blessing in disguise. This year has been full of lessons learned and soul-searching. … I will be really happy once I have done my jail time. I can start fresh.”
On feeling remorse: “I was watching CNN about a month ago, and they happened to be talking about young people driving under the influence. They were flashing little kids (on the screen) who were killed by drunk drivers, and it broke my heart. It was a big wake-up call.”
On her sentence: “It was a fair, standard sentence. I expected that.”
On comparisons with Paris’s sentence: “We weren’t charged with the same thing. We had different judges. This isn’t a popularity contest, and it’s not up to people to compare my case with Paris’.”
On why she was on a painkiller when she was arrested: “I have really bad menstrual cramps.”
On if she has taken drugs since December: “No.”
On her favorite foods: “Sushi. I’m not sure how great that is for me. I also love pizza; I’m a junk-food eater by nature.”

I feel kinda bad for her(but not really) that she's pregnant because obviously she didn't plan it!! And it's with a guy she's been going out with for less than 6 months!!(their relationship won't last) I mean at least hilary and joel went out for 2 yrs!! What I hate the most is that ''now that she's pregnant she feel she's obliged to change!!'' I BET if she wasn't pregnant we would see candids of her everyday on the streets and candids of her partying with paris and lindsay!! All of those girls need to grow up, but it seems Nicole will be the first ONLY because she is pregnant. Having a baby is a BLESSING but I think this is just sad....I just hope she won't turn out like britney, all crazy after having kids

In an exclusive television interview with ABC News' Diane Sawyer, Nicole Richie confirms for the first time she is pregnant with Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden's baby.
"Yes, I am. We are. I'm almost four months," Richie told Sawyer.

Watch the full interview on "Good Morning America" Thursday, Aug. 2 and Friday, Aug. 3, and on "20/20" Friday night.

Richie, who is the adopted daughter of musician Lionel Richie, is a favorite paparazzi target and subject of gossip magazines, which have speculated endlessly about her pregnancy, and relationships with other celebrities.
Richie was arrested on Dec. 12 on charges of driving under the influence, after she was allegedly spotted driving the wrong way down a highway in Burbank, Calif.

Richie pleaded guilty last Friday, and was sentenced to four days in jail, which she has until Sept. 28 to serve.
Richie also talks about her upcoming jail time, what happened the night she was arrested and how she believes her actions have affected those girls who look up to her.
"I have a responsibility and it's something that I did wrong, and if I could personally apologize to every single person that has lost a loved one from drunk driving I would," Richie says about her recent guilty plea. "And unfortunately, I can't, but this is my way of paying my dues and taking responsibility and being an adult."

We really have no idea if they planned it or not...
she has always said she wanted kids and wanted to start young and have lots...
so who knows, they could be head over heels and rushing to start their little family.
That's not to say I don't think it happened very fast, but everything in Hollywood does.

I don't understand all the poor Hilary comments...
I understand it would sting a little to see your ex happy with another on TV...
but I don't think this was the route she wanted ( isn't she not even 21?)...

On a totally shallow note, pregnancy agrees with her! She looks better than ever.
And I think we all know why.

I think Hilary dumped him as well if the tabloids are to be believed (!) Partially because he wanted to settle down or something. Yes it is kind of sucky to see your ex publicly move on to "happy families" with someone else, but as far as we knowhe and Nicole got together after Hilary, so she is not a wronged party in this case.

There's nothing that wrong about a baby acting as a wake up call to change your life, especially coupled with the threat of prison. At least she has become lower profile in the last few weeks and isn't still partying it up, I've seen a lot of pregnant women living it up as usual. If she didn't have a baby she'd be free to do whatever she wanted, as long as she wasn't hurting anyone else etc etc, it's not like she was Lindsay and pictured incapable in the gutter every night. Having said that, I hope she does keep on maturing, instead of Britney who seems to have regressed.

I am in still in shock that we actually have a confirmation straight from the horse's mouth (though Nicole is more like a pony than a horse). I hope that the pregnancy is nice and healthy and that her and Joel will make good responsible parents.
