I'm sorry to be a pain, but can you explain the theme a little more?.. I'm a teeny bit confused.

Me me I think I know what it means I think I know what it means =]

This picture should explain everything (allow me to shamelessly plug my favourite designer):

In other words, design something that pushes at the limits of wearability through the use of shape / volume =]

ok, i made it a little bit more specific, we're designing a dress..
so, basically Prague..design a dress that is not very wearable due to its blown up proportions..:flower:

Ah, thank you so much! That explains it. I'll get started as soon as possible :flower:

Ok here's my entry - a Dior S/S 2003 HC ripoff hahaha - nah it's just the fact that it's a fusion design.

Click here to see the design (it's too large - 900x900 - to be comfortably posted here).

It's basically a cross between the Chinese qipao (which is the main focus of the top) and the Western crinoline (which is the main focus of the bottom). The dress features three layers of fabric, each trimmed in faux fox fur (haha) and rested over a layer of gold lining. They are in shades of blue, diminishing in brightness from top to bottom. Each layer features different motifs in traditional Chinese embroidery. The neck area also features a thick amount of fur and so do the sleeves, which are oversized to the point that they flow down OVER the crinoline dress and touch the floor.

The hair is done asymmetrical in a manner similar to that worn by aristocratic ladies of the Qing Dynasty. Jade ornaments hang from it and it is also encrusted with intricate gold pieces inlaid with jade and precious gems in the shape of leaves and flowers.

The shoes are based on the traditional Chinese porcelain lotus shoes that have platforms reaching up to three inches high.

^i love your inspirations..and the headpiece sounds awsome

Hey, hopefully I'll be back for Tuesday night/wednesday so I'll post my entry then :) Fantastic entry Edan! (Mine looks comparatively simple :( )

here's my entry. I don't know if this is right because it would be wearable just very extreme for everyday. It's for the fashionable woman to be warm yet stylish on the cold city streets. She's wearing a large quilted coat, a red belt to show off her figure and a circular wool skirt. Her boots are patent red and flat to help in navigating the streets.

wow, that's amazing Emma Leigh. Love how it pushes wearbility, was it? But still manages to look real:flower:

emma_leigh: Coats, boots and a tastefully-shaped dress - I love your entry! And the belt is definitely a next season thing! ;)

this theme was very inspiring and I have done about five dresses and I cant decide wich one I should post
