some skins arent even involved in politics in anyway, and its definatly not something you try on for a day or two
in one way im dissapointed of the whole mainstream-ing of skinhead style but on the other hand I'm excited about the cheap knockoffs of freds and ben shermans haha!more for me...
oh my oh my..
yup england has style.. whether its good or bad is debatable.
london IS a trendsetter for any streetstyle and that is the main reason why i studied there (10 years ago)! for the inspiration.
now there are some things that come with this style that isnt that cool...
both my colleagues are well connected (clean) fashion industry people and last london fashion week i made a note about these showroom models who had the dirtiest feet and toes i have EVER seen
my female colleague defended both the models i was talking about saying that its nothing, its just the way they think and live. its part of their i dont try too hard look!!!! you know, the Pete D's and the Amy W's...
im tellin ya all, if this is england then im speechless!!!!
(all taken with a hint of salt)

never denied that but Pete and Amy et al are living as if they werent upper class. i think that is why they are so controversial and popped into my mind with regards to the attitude towards life
ETA; as for the skinhead look i find it very unappealling. i was a child who grew up in germany in the 80 and 90s and a non german so even though well protected one can just imagine what i associate with this "trend"
i did however sport a green bomber cos it did somehow become a must have back then. dont ask how... ??![]()
There is "English style" and then there is the style depicted in "This is England" which is skinhead style. I think everyone just got confused Innocent Fairy, with the pic of Pete. Neither Amy Winehouse nor Pete are skinheads. At least as I see it.
I really think we should call this the Skinhead style thread or something else. Or colon it as This is England: Skinheads Style etc.
i luv that pic, InnocentFairy! well done!
