Beautiful, very mature, love the pleated skirts.

i'm surprised by how much i like this, especially given how much i dislike his proportions for menswear

I love it, the golden lipstick is so much better for the womenswear. The shades were always so chic to me(even though the word is overused)

I do want a strand of pearls and a bag though... can anyone gift wrap them and send them over?

there is just no place for this in any woman's wardrobe...
what a complete waste of resources...

:ermm:...

funny how almost every response in this thread is from an homme...
:P...

it's gotta mean something...

I'm confused... in the first post the third image down on the right... how is there no place for that in a woman's wardrobe??

I actually like it, which is a surprise to me. I really like look #6 in the first post -- great separates. I think a couple of the skirts have really unflattering waists, but all in all I think it's good. Although, looking at it again, I feel like everything is more successful as an individual separate. The looks all together just feel somehow off to me.

In the end of the day, what his women's wardrobe will comprise of is a re-working of his signature menswear look - the boy-ish pantsuit, the men's shirting and some of the preppy sportswear pieces such as the cardigans or a top coat.

All of these are fundamentally different in fabrication and materials than what you see on every second woman that suddenly had the innovative idea to roll up her blazer sleeves this past summer season - it'll have all the structure that usual womenswear does not offer as such. This is totally a niche, as it requires a particular 'character' and confidence (as well as the right body) to pull of this look, but I could very well see that this works with some women.

I agree however on the fact that most of the granny-like long skirts with cardigan looks are not doing much for me here. No matter how much he tries, I don't think it'll be cool to wear those.

OMG! I think you are SO right about being a niche .. I wonder whether the old school Jil Sander womenswear customer would flirt with the idea of owning some Browne ..

On a side note, as I mentioned to another tFS member on FB, even with the styling .. these ladies look like suffragettes! :P

Oh please, you think you speak for the entire female population? Give me a break. You don't care for the clothes, fair enough and duly noted. But please don't attribute someone's inability to consider and evaluate a design to their sex, lest a man try to invalidate you should you ever disagree with him on men's clothing. Sexism runs both ways.

This is gorgeous. I thought I wouldn't like it - that he wouldn't understand how to dress women, but I think he does. I'm not saying it's all wearable - a lot of the proportions are hard to wear unless you are quite tall - but that holds true for a lot of designer collections and no one seems to care :innocent: I love the layering - of course, it's not something that proportionally I could wear, but the long slightly open plaid coat/dress layered over the long skirt. The preppy undertones. I really love it.

I'm of the opinon that styled well these pieces would find themselves comfy in many closets... well not many I guess... many closets of people who could afford them and other pieces liek them.
