Thrift Scores

Sadly I don't find anything worthwhile. I'm so jealous.
I did find that CDG shirt that one time, but my favorite thrift finds have not been designer at all. In fact, they're usually the no-name, often no-tag items that are cool and interesting and not what you can purchase in the stores these days.

an authentic dior saddlebag - that was such a bargain i cant tell you just how much so!

cranky pants i agree. all the stuff i find is a great find for being different rather than being a cheap deal on something designer

i might be going to NY this summer and i was wondering where these thrift stores are located??

Cool. I haven't gone to a thrist store in ages but I'll look for something interesting.

Well, I'm not sure if this is supposed to be about designer finds from thrift markets only, but I'll post this anyway...

I don't usually find anything really interesting from thrift stores, but once I found these absolutely beautiful black, heeled lace-up shoes, they were kind of early 20th century inspired. I should repair the heels and then I could wear them.

I've also found two US Vogues from 1984, they looked like they were fresh from the newsstand.

I have found soo many wonderful things at my regular thrift store. I generally go about once a week. The best is the Anthropologie in my town sends the items that I think they damage out because of holes, etc, and since the thrift store is in an area of town where no one recognizes what these items are, I scoop in and get it all:) Most items are priced at less than 4 dollars, and most of it either I see nothing wrong with it or the holes, etc are very easily fixed. It's my best secret, and I tell no one where the store is^_^

Just got these at a Romanian online bidding site. All three cost less than 20 dollars...:p

My fav thrift store finds were both Dior and both under $1...a fabulous pair of lady's gloves, never worn, from the "new look" era, and a blue/white striped silk tie from the 80's. Can't beat that.

Well I went thrift store shopping on Friday. Nothing desinger, I found a pair of 'normal jeans' (not distressed), a slate blue hoodie and this cord blazer. I plan to go back sometime this week and hopefully I'll find some interesting stuff. Besides I'm a budget.

Yesterday (Saturday) I bought the most beautiful black mini trench coat in Oxfam - for £3.75! Boy, am I going to get some wear out of this......

Well, I went charity shop-shopping y/day after splurging at the Billion Dollar Babes sale - my goal was to find an outfit for under £10.

I found two. A black oversized sheath top (it's like size 22) that I'm gonna wear as a dress - kinda like the Olsens Miss Davenporte designs. That was £4.75

Then I found a green shantung silk top and a pair of old Levi's - the top was £2, the jeans were £3.75. Would be a great gigging outift me thinks!
