Thrift Scores

The following 4 posts are pictures from my bargain hunt yesterday! Some are T.J. Maxx actually, but a bunch are from the thrift shop Plato's Closet that is full of designer clothing. I couldn't believe how unworn and new it all was! By the way, the total of all these items was only $103!!!!

my local value village and salvation army thrift store

Great finds muxu!!! That dress looks so great on you!!
I can't believe the prices!! I wish there were thrift stores like these near me!

I once found an Yves Saint Laurent coat at a thrift store...I had it re-lined and it's fabulous!

Any store recommendations?

Anyone know of good thrift stores in the Los Angeles area? I know that there's a forum for city shopping, but I thought you guys may be more of an expert on these stores. I know everyone talks about Jet Reg on La Brea Ave. and the $1 sale on Sundays. Anything else worth checking into? Just recently got into thrift stores since you can find pieces that hardly anyone else have, rather than have a logo stamped across your shirt or pants...

oh my....today I went to goodwill and value village

at value village all I could find was a cute cute oversized nautical navy striped top for $2

but at goodwill,

new frye boots - $15 whiskey coloured
new flats - $2 colour like a mouse stam
whiskey coloured belt - 50 cents!
80s type top, hard to explain but v. cute - $3
red to the knee buttoned dress in a material that makes is so cute for an open long sweater - $3
50s small polkadot double breasted jacket/top - $3

doesn't it depress you when you spend $30-some dollars on multiple great finds and then look at your $500 designer blazer.

hahhah oh well I love all my clothes equally

so hard to explain but all I can say is I am so happy right now with my finds, especially the cowboy boots b.c they were such a good deal!

my first ever chanel. i nearly died when i found it. score @ $2.95!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Wow! Who would let a Chanel bag slip by? Do you guys visit thrift stores on a daily basis and that's why you can score great finds? Share some tips!

there are some good ones along melrose ave and on la brea. i believe a store called "the way we wore" is also near jet rag. you should check it out. they have everything from 20's to the 90s. pricey though but beautiful..
then there are some local ones here and there...oc has good ones too.
i like goodwill a lot, heh, ive made great findings there.
