While I was reading about Fortuny online, I read that Stephanie Seymour bought up all of Tina's Fortuny gowns and clothing, I've never heard this before or know if its true though.

Tina in a polaroid taken by Andy Warhol.

From an article about Antonio Lopez, look in the middle of the spread and you can see two small pics of Tina. One in Fortuny at the top and tulle in the center. I wanted to buy this issue but they're sold out. maomag.com

A very rare video of Tina at Fiorucci in the 80s at a party for Andy Warhol.

I also bought a few vintage magazines and will put up some articles on her...

You can also read an article about Michael Chow that I find somewhat crude and nasty. Michael talks about how she was not a virgin and it discusses how Tina was of "dubious character" which is the first time I've ever read anything about that. Most of what I've seen discussed is how naive she was. Conversely, I've read quite a bit about how people don't like Michael! Simon Doonan wrote a letter to the NY Times about an article on Mr. Chow's, where mentions of Tina's contributions to the restaurants were what he called "stingy."

Who knows, maybe all of it is true maybe none.

UK Vogue 1976, modelling Bill Gibb and Manolo Blahnik. She's pictured in her home in Fulham.

It's so sparse and non-descript in her house, it's incredible how she transformed into this very androgynous, Armani suit wearing woman surrounded by Japanese artifacts. The comparison between 1976 Tina here, and the Harper's Bazaar article in her home in California (1990) is like 2 different people. B)

thank you, everyone, for all the recent unearthed articles! and have a happy, safe, fun new year's!

I can't believe Tina's jewelry was not selling well and they had a sample sale!! Too bad I was just a little kid. I read that Lisa Eisner has the largest collection of Tina Chow jewelry and that she might be planning a book about it? Anyway, I have more pics but that will have to wait for next year :P

Two pieces of jewelry. The ring is show in the last pic in post #113. Naila de Monbrison was the first to show Tina's jewelry in her gallery in Paris.

The second is leather cord with two pendants similar to the necklaces that I posted earlier in the thread from Rago.

The Stylish Legacy of Tina Chow

Yeah, her eyes manage to be haunting, lively, eerie, and beautiful all rolled into one...As if she's daring you to look and also daring you to not look. Tina truly cements the notion that presence + style reign supreme over clothing alone. We hardly have any pics of what she generally wore, yet she still manages to inspire and speak to so many... even after all these years...
