TJ Maxx / TK Maxx

Lol just been to TKMaxx during my lunch break and I know this isn't strictly relevant to fashion etc. but they're pillow selection is also excellent and very cheap! They have a few models in which look like they straight out of a Habitat brochure!

OHH I LOVE TJ Maxx!!! It's either hit or miss though (at least at the ones I've been to). The best things I've found at mine have all been Marc Jacobs, but last fall there was a gorgeous Isabella Fiore bag and some really nice Cole Haan coats, but ours really doesn't get "runway" stuff, we don't have a runway section but we still get a pretty decent selection of casual wear, and a wonderful selection of sunglasses/bags/shoes (I got some DG sunglasses for $12). I can't believe some of you have found Vera Wang and Chloe at yours. OMG, that would be SWEET.

^ Yeah...

The best I see here in Tallahassee, FL is Pullitzer and Juicy Couture... :ninja:

Maybe Southern L.A. will give me some better options.

I did find some gorgoeus A.B.S. heels today... super sexy... peep-toe... can't wait to wear with some great dark jeans.

I saw an Alexander McQueen mini Novak (at least I think it's the mini....it had a thin cross body strap and was about 5 x 7") for £200 at my local TKMaxx yesterday!

I went to my local TK Maxx and there wasnt much there... & Most of the stuff there were larger sizes :(
I may go back soon and see if anything good is in

I would visit tk maxx more often but there is only one in my town and it's rather far away... The best things I saw in there were a Prada skirt and See by Chloe dress (both ugly though) lol

i was suprised to find hermes and omega watches at the hammersmith store(london)- although at £900 for the cape cod i'd rather buy from an AD instead..

I saw a Cape Cod watch in the shop near me today
I was pretty annoyed as I paid full price at the Hermes shop 6 months ago! This one was orange and the ladies version, but still... Im really surprised Hermes would sell to them and devalue their brand. Its put me off buying in the future definately.

What is an 'AD' by the way? and do you remember what colour and style (double tour?) the Hammersmith shop had in?

I got a beautiful miu miu leather belt for €60 today. I feel like a very lucky shopper - it's just what I've been looking for for ages. :p

My local one, Clapham, is just horrific. I never know which one is the best to go to, any londoners got any tips?

There's a TJ Maxx store not too far away from my home. Surprisingly I never shopped there. Maybe I'll check it out when/or if I have the patience.

The TKMAXX near my house got a shipment of Mcqueen dresses in a few weeks ago. As in mainline, not McQ , for between £150-400 :| The retail prices on net-a-porter and browns were like £1400-3000. There was an amazing pink shredded chiffon one with a huge layered skirt, like a ball of candyfloss haha

Oh and there was also a few from the AW 06/07 collection, a tartan prom dress, and the black velvet one with low V neck and gold embroidery all over the shoulders, my sister bought a couple of the cheaper ones and the rest got snapped up and ended up on ebay..

Im addicted to my tkmaxx, spend hours in there, my best buys have been a CK leather clutch for £10 and some true religions skinnys for £50.
I have one walking distance, but dont reckon its great for designer buys, its the warrington one, the runcorn one, which is far less busy has far more designer stuff(which often makes it into clearence), maybe becasue it isnt getting snapped up as quickly... The manchester city centre one tends to have a lot of designer watches, Ive seen hermes and armani ones in there.

the stores seem to get a steady supply of designer denim these days. every time i go, i find 7 for all mankind, true religion, etc.

i think TJ/TK Maxx really makes you wonder how much a designer garment is worth

at $60, they're still making a profit.

Oh I know, it's just silly. I got a dress at Tj Maxx the other day that retailed for 900 dollars for 30, and like mentioned above, there was still a profit made.

We should add to the title of this thread TJ Maxx/TK Maxx/Marshalls - Marshalls is owned by the same company. And I just found at Marshalls yesterday Diesel jeans, True Religion T-shirts, Juicy Couture t-shirts and velour pants...a girl could go crazy. *sigh* And yes I recently scored a pair of 7 for All Mankind Dojo's from TJ Maxx and they also had True Religion Bobby's, Antiks, and some others. Love!
