every time I hear the word uni, I remember the name unimog somehow.
both sound cute.
LOL, had to look up unimog...I thought it was a uni-shaped monster...
it had nothing to do with uni!

Anthony Minghella production...
never seen anything like it...not anything like what i remember as a child...
changed my whole opinion about opera...
cho-cho-san's child is a Bunraku-style puppet! and there are mirrors above the stage to give alternate views and additional impact...
there is even some lovely choreography and excellent usage of gold fans...
here's a clip for you to check out...

they are supposed to be in the garden on their wedding night...
hence, the cherry blossoms and lanterns...
this is def one of the highlights...
there are a bunch of pics online - i couldn't take a pic
but i love love loved it!
...
it was bitter cold out, but it was well worth the effort!
i'd go again in a heartbeat...

I love the lighting and the dreamy colourfulness of the production. I wonder why they made the child a puppet... Wish I could have joined you
but i love anything salty or pickled and i love veggies and seafood...
so- of course, i love asian food!
one thing i wish i was able to find was a shop for just pickles...
i got several different kinds at the store, but i was hoping to find some more unusual varieties...

btw, do you know if the 10two store still exists?
and to see old collections as well. And I will visit the museum before any shops and DSM
.....should have been great. but that's not what you'd expect, it might be good to visit.
