Woah, that's really unusual for topshop to do that. And I never knew Corrine Day had cancer. Do you think it's right they're raising money solely for her? Just interested in peoples' views. Sorry if this isn't appropriate here.

also, notice how only 40% goes to the cause...

yeah i got that but skipped the whole thing because i think kate moss is overrated. i thought it was about one of her collections.

I hate things like that. As if Kate wasn't able to pull the money out of her petty cash if Day really was that important to her instead of signing her name. But no, lets make a PR-stunt out of someones misery. And what's happening to the other 60%?

urgh £100,000 is just small change to Kate Moss and Topshop and Premier seriously
Also JUST 40%, so the other 60% is profit that really is kinda sick

completely changing the subject but did any of you guys go to show me your topshop?

moooooore free topshop totes being handed out today around my school. they're different and not that cute. grabbed a mint-colored one nonetheless.

this one seemed to be pushing the "students get 10% off" deal

They always do that around this time, to help promote the student shop events. Look out for them.

kbella- how old do you have to be to go to the student shop events? I always got the impression it was 18+

tlcr- I saw it but didn't go. I went to the Helmut Newton thing ages ago, though, which is much better. Looking through all the photos from Show Me Your Topshop, nearly everyone looks awful! I sound horrible but ew, some of those outfits....

On the Corrine Day thing, not to take away from how awful her condition is but I don't think it's down to the public to help her tbh [when, as everyone has pointed out, KM could easily just help her] It really does guilt trip people into giving money because otherwise they feel like bad people. That's why they've personalized it so much by just mentioning her [and the reason they need to personalise it is so they get more money for themselves- greedy 60% profit].

.

You have to have a valid student card, so school/college name and expiry date (or year 2009/2010). So I guess it's for 16+.

I've sent away for my NUS card. I bet it won't come in time for this event..
ty for the info!

The croc dress is really nice, just a longer version of the tee, however it's really long, it's only worth it if your quite tall. I'm about 5'4 and quite tiny so the dress drowned me.
The tshirt version is long enough to be worn as a dress on me!

I'm so annoyed about the student shop dates! I think it's a day before my student loan comes through so I won't be able to afford anything :(

As far as I know a lot of places still do. They don't get very many at all, I know at H&M we got maybe one a week, if that, but we still accepted them...

We have to authorise cheques though, for fraud prevention. Do you have an overdraft you can use and pay back when you get your loan?

if you go instore what do they accept as proof of being a student? oyster card? my nus hasnt arrived yet
