Those little boots are cute and I do like the stud/chain detail, but imo, for the exact same money you could get nearly identical Frye's and the quality of leather and craftsmanship on Frye's would be so much higher

So today I went to exchange something without a receipt just before the sale so I got an exchangereceipt. I got something of the same price and took it to the counter and the man said he wouldn't give me a receipt cos I didn't have it originally but I've always got one in the past just it says exchange only...when the receipt came out he ripped it up wtf?! Anyone that works there know which is right?

I work in a shop (not topshop mind) but regardless he should of give you a receipt incase the item went faulty then you would have proof of purchase

If it was me I would go to another Topshop and exchange that for something else and get a receipt

^ thanks! Yeah I was thinking that too... Or say if he hadn't taken the tag off properly and I went out of the shop and the alarm went off then I'd have no proof I bought it. I don't think it's particularly the shop just the person that served me

Yep you sometimes get the odd one ha. Once I had a coat from there and all the stiching came undone on one of the sleeves after just a week! So I took it back and I just wanted another one cos I loved it but they didn't have any in stock so I asked for my money back so I could get it elsewhere and they refused saying If I wanted a refund I would have to take it back to where I got it from silly people

oo yeah I never thought about that you could of 'stole' it heh bit dramatic to rip it up like!

Hmmm, I think that because you had an exchange receipt that probably said 'No original receipt' at the top and exchanged again, the receipt the guy ripped up probably said 'Exchange Cash: £0.00' at the top, making it a bit trickier to understand. He probably thought that you might try to obtain a cash refund with the receipt, as the original payment method isn't clear. He could have written 'No original receipt' at the top to clarify the situation. I wouldn't worry though, if it becomes faulty, it's on their system, so provided you can remember the date and rough time you exchanged it, it should be fine.

^ I never had the original receipt which was the problem :/ That's why I had to exchange but every time I do that I always get a receipt back just one that says exchange only. Ah well, thanks for the help i'm just so worried in case it goes down in the sale. I literally just grabbed anything I hadn't seen before [in the hope it was new stock] just to obtain a receipt but yeah that failed :/

meg and lovelorn- i have auth 8R fryes, but they are extremely heavy and they really hurt my heels, i can't break them in! i want lighter boots with the same look and also cut lower, so i think these would be a great alternative.. i am hoping they are lighter!

^ By all means get it then! I get what you mean about how hard it is to break them in! Great quality leather is awesome but they are just so stiff and they take ages to conform to my feet
