No, has the sale already begun  Damn I was hoping the sale would start after Christmas.I arrive to London on the 27th December:cry:

Waaah I got the Aggie Boots for Christmas! My god they're high though haha, I'm a tad scared

im contemplating asking my bf to go to westfield...but the thing is he hates it there. so do i so i dunno if i shoudl force him ahahah plus hell be spending time with his family. i think if its meant to be mine i will come across it someday lol...maybe im just being too optimistic

It's tax free in the sense that you have to go through a whole big, lengthy process of having someone at the store fill out a form, calculated how much you're owed back, and then you have to claim it back at the airport before you leave again.. So you still actually have to pay the full amount. That's how it works at H&M in the UK. I'd imagine Topshop's no different?

I got the Sailor coat today in my local Topshop. It was the last one and I had to sneakily get it off the mannequin while the security guard wasn't looking. :ninja: Worth the risk!

I believe Honeycombchild is right about how to claim the tax back. A surprising number of UK stores are Tax Free to visitors.

I like on the website how you can now filter things by size, will make browsing a lot easier.

yup basically you can do tax free shopping but what you have to do is buy it in full retail value, and the store fills out the form for you and you have a bit to sign as well and i think at the airport they have an officer who collects your envelopes with the receipts and forms and then the money is transferred back into your account. so you dont really get cash back straight away, its a lenghty and timely process but if youre in no rush you might as well! and i think each store has different value you can claim tax back on. a friend of mine said that in harvey nichols they said anything over 50gbp you can claim back tax on, and then in zara they said anything over 30 gbp... etc.

i hope this helps!

woah, but I misunderstood- I thought they meant that it was without tax straight away [like in the airport] so you don't have to fill out any form.

i dont know maybe it is like that but from what i know most of the places in london that have the tax free shopping sign do it this way.

^You must tell the cashier that you want tax free shopping when paying at the till. They'll then print out a longish slip, which they sign and give back to you. I think it calculates the refund and you take it to the airport to sort out. A lot less confusing for staff.

Picked this up from the sale today. I'm doing good on my quest for sweaters this year! lol I finally have a decent amount

I wish H&M had the option to print out a receipt!

I've spent hours going through receipts from customers, filling out the forms, doing the calculations, and then you get people who've bought items of kidswear on the same receipts as everything else... and kidswear isn't tax free so can't be discounted - it's all very confussing. I like this simpler Topshop way!

managed to nab this sweater for £22.50 today, although it still says its full price on the label it scanned as £25, then minus NUS. So pleased. Also got a oversized cream cardigan and some PJ shorts.

Im finding topshop a bit uninspiring at the moment. Theres only bits and peices i really like, and then the stuff i do like is SUPER long on me (i can hardly wear the dresses as they are ridiculously long) or too overpriced!

I wish it didn't have so many zips though but it's 100% silk!

I ordered these ballet pumps, they were dispatched yesterday, I'm so excited, I hope they arrive before I go away for New Year on wednesday, fingers crossed!
