Well, I was wondering whether this could be the appropiate place for such a question. It is for an essay, and since I am a bit curious, besides of my own opinion I would love to read what do you think about this topic.

Thanks a bunch, don't hesistate to put your 2 cents:flower:

very interesting topic :flower:
my 2cents, no need for contradiction where there is natural compatibility

its a bit boring to see this 'artificial contrast' between tradition & fashion, after all, those two are so well inter-related no?
i certainly enjoy inovational design and the breaking of the forms, but traditional craftmanship is also needed in order to really appreciate innovations.
if used in a creative way, traditonal techniques/shapes/fabrics can aquire a new life, its all a matter of inspiration and craftmanship.

i find sloppyness under the ombrella of 'creativity's shake' sad and dissapointing

Fashion is a tradition unto itself these days...with the rules, trends etc. These kinds of traditions are most certainly not necessary.

But in terms of craftsmanship & quality, tradition is often needed.
