If you're leaving anytime soon, pack a parka and an umbrella-- it's freezing!
However, weather change is daily, not seasonal, so be prepared for anything.
Best advice is lots and lots of light layers.
Hey Y'all! My boyfriend and I are going shopping today for a dress (for me) for his company's Christmas Party (Saturday). The invitation is Black Tie Optional. He is going to be wearing a Dark Blue Pinstrip suit. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I SHOULD WEAR! Please Please Please help me out! Can anyone give me an ideas?!?!?!
Since it is his COMPANY'S party, meaning it is going to be a professional enviroment. I would say keep your outfit elegant, but still sexy. I would say go with a dress that does not go past the bottom of your knees.
Since it's "black tie optional" and it sounds like he won't wear a tuxedo, may I suggest that he should probably wear a suit in a solid navy/dark grey/black, not pinstripe; dark, solid colour is dressier than pinstripe.
Women should traditionally wear a below the knee or floor-length dress for black tie. Not nearly as dressy a gown as with white tie, but def. dressed up.
It's like 56F / 40F in here right now. ANd if you're coming this fall or spring, you might wanna bring an umbrella, beanie, gloves, some sweater and a warm jacket. It's hella cold here now. Our highest temp is gonna be at least 60F.
Hope you'll enjoy the finest city Bay Area!
Here i am, about 6 months from graduation, thinking about what to wear and so on
I've thought about different styles and the plan looks like this at the moment:
Suit, navy blue
Brown shoes and belt
Cufflinks and buttons in steel (brushed steel?)
Graduation-cap in white black and yellow
White shirt
Tie with something yellow in it (meaning to pick upp something from the cap)
Handkarchief in a so far unknown color, matching the tie.
What do you think? Another guy was saying BLACK shoes and i was like WHAT, black and navy matched? Will that work? If you have some pictures of that working out nicely, please post.
Also, post your own ideas for graduation outfits or pictures of it, inspiriation is always great. (girls are allowed too )
Then there's this other black, strapless, and form fitting dress with cool sequins on the end (not cheesy overdone sequins, though. they're very tasteful). This dress feels sexier, and makes my legs look hot
The problem is someone said my white dress might be a little too formal and plus it might be a little harder to dance in. However with the black one, its not very unique, and EVERYONE is wearing black (like at least 90 percent of the girls, seriously).
Your wardrobe might depend on his position within the company! I recommend a dress or gown, below the knee in a dark solid, such as black, charcoal or a dark jewel tone...
Consider dressing with the executives wives in mind, taking care to not upstage a supervisors wife, while being a bit better attired than most of the women and spouses in your boyfriend's department...
I've been staying with my boyfriend for about a week (he lives like 2 1/2 hours away), and we're going out to Providence tonight to celebrate New Years. The only problem is, I just realized I have such a lack of clothes and shoes with me! I was in a rush when I left, and didn't bring that much! I'm hoping you guys can help me out. I'll list what I have, and can you guys help me put together an outfit? Thanks so much to anyone who helps!
