Trends you regret trying

Loose fits so some extent.. they were somewhat in fashion to street styling cats! I haven't wore them in like 4 months. I remember I used to go into meetings wearing them and not giving a F*&^ :smile: Here's some pics from Dubai

1. Me whipping out in the desert (and as you can see my jeans were falling down)

2. Causing a rockus in the dunes!

I regret trying the 'granny chic' trend that was popular a few years ago. I'm short, skinny with big boobs and bum, so it was very unflattering on me. I did learn to stick to form fitting clothes.

Omg, you went to Dubai?!
I so want to go there, even if they are toning things down a bit B)

The jeans look like they fit from the crotch down, but the peekaboo briefs is a bit much :lol:.

Their Diesel's size like 34 and Im a 32 hahahah! But watever dude, they sooo comfy but the "not so cool" part is;

every-time Im walking on the street, mall or in the desert, I have my right hand holding my jeans and the other hand is keeping my whole body balanced incase I fall down from doing the gangsta walk :woot:

Ohh and yah, PEEKABOOO I sEE YOU! hahah

:sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick:

i got it mixed around, the first photo is me at 17 and the second is me at 15. haha my bad. pretty sure you guys would have figured that out though

^ You look so different in the two pictures! but in both you look pretty in different ways.

my really orange japanese inspired hair. My dad was trying to talk sense into me telling me it looked weird. Now I truly understand lol
:sick:

The bangs I got a couple of years ago. I was going for a Sienna Miller kind of thing. Unfortunately, I had to find out the hard way that I wasnt Sienna Miller. Thank GOD for hair clips.

I also inexplicably went through a skater phase in 7th grade around the Avril Lavigne time. :huh:

hot topic. desperately wanting to be punk/emo. couldn't admit to wanting to be punk/emo. i wore converse sneakers--or cons or chucks as we called them. and a collared shirt underneath a t-shirt of a band I hadn't listened to much. I think that is the worst thing: wearing a t-shirt of a band you don't listen to.

i bought white opaque stockings last winter and i just looked so ridiculous in them. at the time i felt cute but i look back on pictures and have a bit of a forehead slap.

one reason i love personal style blogging, it really helps me identify where i go right, and where i go very very wrong!

Two very expensive, Old Ed Hardy T-shirts
that I still try to chic up but just are so damn resistant.

lol, me too. Both the Sienna Miller bang thing & the skater phase!

I had a pair of those skateboarding shoes that had craploads of padding in them & basically made your feet look enormous. & I didn't even know how to skateboard. I have no idea what I was thinking :rolleyes:

A couple of years ago I wanted Nicole Richie's hair color, which meant going from very dark brown to blond with some reddish strands. In a short time I had yellow, blond, reddish hair, but never her hair tone. My hair were so damaged that i couldn't even comb them.

So, I cut my long hair and went back to chocolate brown. I tried to look like her, but I'm definitely not, and now i know what's best for me :smile:

^AND of course, the skater phase here too... :D

baggy jeans and big guys shirts.
Looked totally ridiculous.... glad I grew into being a girl!

I'm so guilty of the butterfly clips too.

I also used to wear those plastic chopsticks in my hair.

Sequined purses

the whole abercrombie and fitch look *shivers*

cargo pants

and once I had a pair of black sparkly denim ultra flare jeans when I was about 13. Why....:sick:

faux hawks!!! oh my gosh... gag me to pieces.
the "bling bling" earrings. :shock:

I tried the feminine '50s look with puffy skirts, neat shoes, high waist shorts, cute berets, Marilyn / Audrey make-up.. uhm well,.. I always tend to over-do things and I want to dress more extreme so I ended up looking quite stupid.:blush:

You mean the Mary-Kate Olsen trash granny bohemian look of 2005? Haha I tried it too.. wide skirts, curtain pattern. Don't think anyone looked good in it. I even think I hunched my back a little extra sometimes.
