I applaud the metallics.....although some I could do without....the PS top Soft posted I love.
There have been quite a bit of nuetral palettes (in the collections that I really liked) I think they are accented by the metallics brilliantly, especially with metallic leather goods and the aforementioned big necklaces.
Even though I've only seen it from Luella, I hope that python makes a statement. Actually, never mind, I'll keep it for myself for another season....
The whole "ladylike" thing seems to be continuing with the vintage (50s-60s) influence as does the preppy thing, which I just don't see the point unless it's Lacoste. (Why would you need a polo from Luella?)
One that I can't help but question is all the shorts on the runways. The are everywhere. I think it looks very hip on certain girls, slightly baggy, rolled up with heels. I have to question the look actually breaking through though. Shorts have to be one of the toughest things to wear fashionably. Even as a guy, I always feel wierd in shorts--even when I lived in Florida.
