EXCLUSIVE: This is major news for True Blood fans. The new regular role on the HBO vampire series for next season went to veteran Irish theater actress and director Fiona Shaw who is probably best known in the U.S. for her role as Aunt Petunia in the Harry Potter movies. On True Blood, she will play Marnie, a mousy, timid and secretly self loathing storefront medium and palm reader who is taken over by the spirit of a powerful witch. The character was originally envisioned younger but is being adjusted for Shaw. Shaw is currently onstage at Dublin's Abbey Theatre in a limited engagement of Henrik Ibsen's John Gabriel Borkman opposite Alan Rickman and Lindsay Duncan. On U.S. television, she previosly co-starred on ABC's limited series Empire.

Blood has tapped Hawthorne actress Christina Moore to join the season 4 cast as a recurring. Moore — whose credits also include MADtv, That '70s Show, and 90210 — will play Suzanne McKittrick, a WASPy Texas housewife who possesses certain special abilities. Moore will shoot her True Blood arc while on hiatus from Hawthorne; production on the TNT drama's third season (its first with new showrunner John Tinker) is scheduled to get underway this spring.

Also landing multi-episode arcs on the upcoming season of True Blood are Neil Hopkins (a.k.a. Charlie's brother Liam on Lost) as Claude, Claudine’s (Lara Pulver) mysterious brother, and Chris Butler (The Good Wife) as Emory, a prissy and conservative shapeshifter with his own agenda. Both are repped by SDB Partners. Hopkins is managed by One Talent; Butler by Pine River

^ugh! he´s not bad looking but that guy as Claude?! thanks but no thanks... major FAIL casting those roles, imo...

.
-the methhead storyline was so incredibly anticlimactic.it did not deserve an entire season's build up only for it to end the way it did.
-the special effects need to be updated so badly.
-tara needs to stop f-cking crying.Pam has officially taken the baddest b*tch crown from her.
-i'm secretly pleased Russell wasnt killed.he has been by far the most entertaining villain.
-does sookie really need 3 lovers to feel loved?
THIS THIS THIS
Rusell is a great villain.
the series finally was like  and I think Bill needs to dissapear..

Did anyone else not like the season 3 finale?
Personally, I really disliked it. It left me going :huh:
I hope next season is better.

I cant believe I have to wait that long to watch TB again...and I agree Bill needs to disappear for a while...

I love the season finale, probably because i never liked Bill. But season 3 was my last favorite

Season three just ruined all the characters for me, especially Bill. I hate how forced Eric/Sookie thing looks.
Two characters that made the show for me were Yvetta and what's that crazy about Tara vampire called? Franklin?

^have fun with that...i still haven't read the latest book:ninja: i'll get to that in the new year

i didnt mind how stupid and unresourceful was bill last season bc maryann and the whole maenad sht of the previous season was :yuk:for me

^she said she's signed a contract for three more books, the next one will be published in May '11

^me neither

some spoilers
@emilyanne18 (via Twitter): Do you know any new spoilers related to season four of True Blood?
We talked to Sam Trammell this weekend at an event for the True Blood: All Right Now graphic novel, and he told us about Sam's future, "What's great about this year is that we explore the shape-shifter community a little bit more, so there's going to be a lot of cool mythological stuff that we talk about, shape-shifter rules and what shape-shifters can do and who they are. Sam's [also] got a new love interest that's going to happen this year for him. I don't have really good luck with the ladies, they usually die—so hopefully she'll survive." Everybody wish Sam's new girlfriend luck on that whole "surviving Bon Temps" thing!
@nathalia004 (via Twitter): Do you have any True Blood scoop?
True Blood star Rutina Wesley shares, "You're going to find out where Tara goes, and there's going to be some happiness for her. It won't last for long, this is True Blood. It's a new Tara, and I think the fans are going to like it. She's not duct-taped, she's not tied up, she's got this personal strength and I think it's really awesome to see her. Sookie (Anna Paquin) and I will have some stuff this season—she's my best friend, so we're always going to have little moments. And we're going to get back to how I felt about Sam Merlotte, finding out that he was a shape shifter, so we are going to have a little moment about that. And I think Lafayette's (Nelsan Ellis) the only one that knows where I am, and he gives me some great advice." Hmm…

@JulischkaHH (via Twitter): True Blood!
How about some Jessica-Hoyt scoop? We chatted with Deborah Ann Woll this weekend, and she told us, "[Jessica and Hoyt] ended in a very positive place but obviously that won't last for long. We definitely pick up with a bit more trouble happening. Bon Temps is a scary place! The first two episodes are very interesting—Jim [Parrack] and I had some really fun stuff to play with like right off the bat. But maybe the first episode is my favorite as of now, just because it is the most varied." Deborah also told us that Jessica and Bill (Stephen Moyer) grow closer this season, saying, "I think we're definitely also in a healing stage where he's finally accepting that he has a progeny, that he has a daughter vampire, and he needs to give me tools to actually survive. So he's definitely more cooperative and participatory in my growing up."

TVLine has exclusively learned that Allan Hyde will reprise his role as Eric’s late, forever young-looking maker when the HBO drama resumes this summer.
The duration and exact timing of his stint are unknown. It’s also unclear what form the onetime vampire sheriff of Area 9 will take given that he succumbed to the worst sunburn in history during season 2. (He returned briefly from the great beyond in the season 3 finale to deliver a message to Eric.)

Blood
EP Alan Ball isn’t offering too many clues, except to say that fans will see “a different side of Godric.”
