This episode was awesome! Arguably the best one this season yet? But Sookie is unbearable.
And frankly, I just want Tara to kick Sookie's ***...I don't like that Sookie just chose Erik over her, no problem at all. Her friend was raped and kidnapped by a vamp and Lafayette was terrorized by Erik...and she just doesn't care. They were her family...I mean, WTF?
Totally THIS! This is exactly why I think Sookie is a weak, unlikeable, damsel-in-distress with a big mouth. I think sometimes,, writers or directors, think that making a girl "sassy" and "not afraid to speak her mind" automatically makes her strong. Sookie is the perfect example of why this fails. She talks a big game, but at the end of the day, she's always got somebody else saving her. And that somebody else is usually male.

Whether it was Bill, Alcide, or lately Eric, she is constantly being rescued and it almost seems that her fairy powers get her into more trouble, not out of it. Even when she stunned Russell's guy in season 3 or Mary Ann in season 2, she still got herself into a situation where the former-mentioned male characters had to rescue her.
Tara, on the other hand, I respect hugely. Alot of people think she's annoying (at least that's the consensus over at imdb) but I think she's the one who has grown the most. She's stopped dwelling in the past and mourning all her problems, and begun to fight back. Which I love. Plus, whereas she was afraid to let anybody get close to her the past 3 seasons, she finally opened up and let her girlfriend in. And the only reason she let her go was not because she was afraid of committment (like with Sam) but because she wanted to protect her. Sorry for the lengthy post, but I just wanted to get that off my chest.
