True Blood

They just posted this on eonline.com

Dear Awful Truth:
OK, maybe I'm being way too cynical here, but do you think the timing of Stephen Moyer's engagement to Anna Paquin has anything to do with his desire to stay relevant on True Blood or maybe to keep Alexander Skarsgård away from Anna, with respect to their Eric and Sookie characters? I did hear that he warned Sam Trammell that he was dating Anna right before their kissing scene in season one. Thoughts?
Curious
Dear About a Moyer:
Anna and Stephen keep it muy profesionale on that set, and I know that from a firsthand source. As for the future of that hot, fresh-baked Sookie, creator Alan Ball has already said that it may not follow the exact course of the books, which gives me cause to believe that the real-life PaqMo may have definitely had some influence of where True Blood is going.

I really hope that is not true. I don't think Alex would be the type to steal Anna away from Stephen. I really want them to follow the Eric & Sookie storyline

^I think that Bill/Moyer is a bigger character on the tv show to keep the books´storylines... I mean, I don´t think they´ll cut Bill for several eps as it happens in the books. But I really hope they´ll keep Eric & Sookie´s plot and make it a bigger love triangle than the books, that way we´ll have the cake and we could eat it too lol

even if they'd stick to the sookie/bill relationship, sookie is dreaming about eric in a very sexy way...that's enough to satisfy me, at least for a while. bring in lots of barely clothed eric and i'm happy

That sucks that they'd let their engagement affect the show. That's not very good acting to me, I hope the writers don't pay any mind to it. :( It's not like she'll magically fall in love with Alex if Sookie ends up with Eric.

well considering that I stopped reading the books because of eric/sookie relationship I'm quite happy B)

That sounds like pure trashy fiction to me. I mean it just sounds beyond silly and extremely out of character that either of them would intentionally allow their off-screen relationship to negatively affect their work like that. Both Anna and Stephen are so extremely professional and I can't ever see them bringing their relationship to the set in such an overtly negative way. Obviously they bring it into their scenes together, but that is what makes their on screen relationship feel so real to viewers which is positive not negative. Other than that it seems that they both always check their relationship "baggage" at the door when they are working. From what I've seen and heard they both truly care about what's best for the show and I seriously doubt that they would ever use their relationship to manipulate or force any change in the story. I mean going as far as to time their engagement? Come on that is something someone like Paris Hilton would do, not these two. I also highly doubt that Alex is the type to try to "steal" Anna away.

Anyway, what was with the last episode being so SHORT? I was so confused like "what the ---- just happened?". I really hope they make the last two episodes as long as possible. I can't believe we have to wait 2 weeks until the finale. That is gonna suck. Sookie's new power was AMAZING and so was the Queen's house! Gorgeous. I can't wait to see the interaction between Sophie-Anne and Bill next Sunday. I wonder if they will discuss Sookie or if the show will hold off on that whole part of the story until next season. Its sounds like there is a good chance that they will include it because that article on the Queen that was posted a few pages back pretty much gave away her "secret agenda". Do we know for sure that the whole Hadley storyline will definitely be used on the show? I hope so.

^well that article is from "the awful truth" which normally contains 0,01% of truth...and when there really is a "firsthand source" that source said that they are very professional on set, so i guess no drama. and the bit about not staying completely true to the course of the books is nothing new either. they only take the main story from the books but everything around that is pretty different.

and i agree, i don't think stephen and anna are the types to "time" their engagement or want the show to take a different turn from what's planned just because of their private relationship...and she's already had naked scenes with alex, it can't get that much "worse". and the books are told from sookies perspective, so when she brakes up with bill she barely sees him anymore, but the show can still include him in many ways so stephen doesn't need to fear his "relevance"

I want Eggs to leave when Maryann does. I don't find him very interesting and I liked Tara much better before :ermm:

in the books he does;)well, as far as i can remember he dies...like most people at the last orgy, but he's gone nonetheless:lol:

No he does not die in the book, but he is really stunned by Marianne. Tara is seen with a vampire in the third book. I don't know about anything after the 3rd book

oh ok, thanks, i wasn't sure anymore who survived ...currently reading the 9th book so this is already long gone
well she has two(?) different vampire boyfriends and ends up marrying a human (that old highschool friend of them...jb du rone or something?) but wasn't she also engaged to eggs in the books? wonder if they'll include this in the series.
and i hope they'll stick to taras book! relationships, because one of the vampires was causing a lot of trouble...

whoa whoa whoa.... eggs was in the book? in which one because i only read up to book 6 but i don't remember him.

Yes, he was in the book as Tara's boyfriend at football game and orgy. I think it was book 2.

only in the second book, but he's only mentioned once or twice because he's with tara...and she's not really that present in the books either, so he's not a big part of the books. and has nothing to do with the maenad (at least i can't remember that...they just go to the sex-orgies)

oh ok now i remember. I get mixed up with the show/books especially now since they are really different

Apparently Alan Ball said two prominent vampires are going to be killed off. Something tells me one of them is going to be Jessica. And perhaps Pam? But I really hope and doubt the latter.

i guess one of them was godric. and there was some good guess on the other vampire (that i forgot now) who wasn't anyone to worry about. and pam is definitely a part of all the books, i really doubt they'll kill her off, jessica...not so sure, but she's a fan-favourite, they'd be stupid to kill her :(

and here's an interview with "Pam"...i'm lazy, so just the link

Oh god. If they kill Eric (and to a lesser extent Pam) I'd probably stop watching the show. There aren't that many very prominent Vamps though. I have a feeling it's Jessica as well. :ermm:

why should they kill eric?! jessica isn't even in the books, so that would make sense in a way, but eric, bill and pam are in all books, so i'm not too afraid they will get killed off at some point
and "prominent" doesn't always mean that it's one of the leads, just that it's a speaking role and we know them by name...no one would really care otherwise, this way people talk and speculate about it
and since the queen and hadley(hailey?) are introduced why can't the other vamp be hadley? she gets killed in the books, although that whole story about how and why is only the 5th(?) book (not too sure which book it was anymore, but not the third if i remember correctly)
maybe that's just my hope since i don't want jessica to die :(
