People have commented on that scene from the beginning as a hint that Sookie had more power than just telepathy because the chain kept getting tighter. It always seemed weird, if they left that woman in, it might've seemed extra campy, very Glenda of Oz.

Still, they seemed to extend her powers with Maryann last episode.

God am I with you Alvedansen! Bill was so sexy in season one! I know I'm in the minority, but I still think he's hot now. I know, I have bizarre taste. I really just don't like pretty boys. Still I admit he was just way hotter in season one. I can't really put my finger on what has changed about his look, but something did. Did they maybe change his hair? His part seems to be in a different place I think.

I have to agree that Claudine looked extra Glenda of Oz campy. I think it was the light blue sequined outfit. It reminds you of a cheap children's fairy costume you would find in like Wal-Mart at halloween. If they had just changed the outfit, it would have been fine to leave her in there unless they just decided it was to soon to introduce her.

I thought tonight's episode was the worst of the season. there was too much jumping around and I just didn't get into it. Some parts were funny though.

Evan Rachael Wood was a HUGE disappointment to me. yikes she was bad...

alexander is gorgeous , so pale and scary
my first thought though was it's weird he always wears that black sleeveless... it seems inappropriate

i also like the texan with the beard :-)

it seems to get more and more interesting now.. there are other 'things' other than vampires? (can't remember all their names).. that woman with the dark curly hair who made the heart pot pie

I guess I'm in the minority but I think Michelle Forbes (Maryann) deserves some award recognition for this role, she inhabits the character completely and has been fun to watch...much like Nelsan Ellis in season 1.

I thought Sophie-Ann had some good lines but there was clearly conflict being set up for season 3, I mean she was dropping all types of bombs about Sookie and Hadley will most likely reappear. Sookie will also not be happy, again, with Bill and his secrets.

Sophie Ann isn't nearly as kooky as I thought she'd be. Quite disappointing. I agree that Michelle Forbes is excellent as Maryann, but the Maryann character and her ridiculous shaking gets tiring fast.

^^thanks for the link =) still watching...but already hate ERW. i really wanted to fastforward her scenes, i don't even get that urge with maryanne. and she's not playing sophie anne like i imagined her at all, just pure annoyance
and although the show itself is a little campy and cheesy and i think Anna over-acts sometimes, ERWs' acting was just embarrassing
i hope it's gonna get better or the third season won't be full of her, because she's a huge turnoff for me (for now)

this was posted on ontd and people think it's claudine...so maybe they thought it was too early to introduce her and cut her out, BUT that gives me hope they'll introduce her later (maybe season 3?!)

This was the pilot, Tara was played by a different actress. Funny thing is that in the final cut of the episode there´s no explanation for the chain tighting by itself like that though in the pilot it´s clear that that woman is responsible for it. I haven´t read the books when I saw this and I´ve completly forgotten about her, to me that´s Claudine. Check out the dress, looks like something she would wear, as described in the books
