I've been seeing lots of tunics in Saks and Neiman Marcus... I think they are going to be big this spring

good because I have a white one with turquoise designs on it that I didn't wear last summer!:woot:

I see these around every summer. They're very easy to wear here in icky Houston. I actually have a couple...

hmmm...these have been around forever. hardly a new trend. :flower:

oh i know but recently I have been seeing a ton in department stores... more than in previous years

I agree that these have been around for quite awhile but I myself prefer traditionally ethnic ones that come from far off exotic places  but seriously, I prefer hand made ones to department store brands

Yeah, me too. I still have some from my trip to India. I hate the cheap mass-market ones you find in department stores. :yuk:

As its approaching/is summer here, all the local designers as well as mainstream clothing stores have their own versions of the tunic/kaftan. They have lots of pretty beaded & sequin ones not just for the day but also for night in pastel colours.

They are cute and everything but the only ones I would wear have very long sleeves and have a longer hem (like mini dresses)

Tunics are mind-blowingly chic, very easy and elegant. I got myself a white linen tunic in Mexico which Im sooo excited to wear this summer, its gonna look great with jeans and white flip-flops.
