Uggs

I personally think they are hideous, but my friend owns a pair, and they are pretty comfy. I guess its sorta like wearing big slippers outdoors...

pixielaughs....GREAT post..!!!
....i'm an aussie living in nth america and this is one trend that really makes me cringe when i see it---these boots have been around in aus/NZ for so long....functional and practical....perfectly lovely for those who enjoy them.....and then it became "trendy" up here in nth america...goodness only knows how....how..??!!....and they were ALMOST ruined for the rest of us....

i am determined not to allow the trend to ruin the beauty of these boots for me...comfortable...warm..practical...for in the house or out, whatever pleases you....they remind me of my childhood and i love them--i remember visiting the blue mountains north of sydney every winter and feeling so cold....being able to rug up in front of the fireplace with uggs on and feel like we were in the middle of siberia....

...for all those that wear uggs authentically...

This is when fashion becomes fickle. How long have Uggs been in existence? Come on!!!

Now that they are a mainstream horror- it confuses those that are fashionable but not victims.
"Should I wear my Uggs or not."- Damn you, those that have abused this trend  .
For the love of decency we have to remember that anything done in excess is never good (other then moisturizing :p ).

Please, ONLY use them for what they were intended. Uggs were made to keep your feet warm. Not to drag around in 90 degree weather. Urgh!! Your feet must smell.

I know UGGS are sooo out, but...

They are the most comfortable things I've ever put on my feet!! I wore them 2 years ago, and again last year. I don't care how "last year" they are... I'll be wearing them again! I'm actually buying a new pair because they are destroyed from wearing them every single day on my walk to work. Snowy days in NYC are no match for me in my uggs!

Will anyone be joining me in wearing out this trend?? :innocent:

KimberlyAnn,I believe we've got plenty of threads regarding the Uggs topic. Please take the time to use the handy search feature :flower:

Sorry Scott, I'm new here and didn't realize I had to search for other threads when a thought came to mind. Sorry for the "re-post".

I've now merged them :flower:

I for one won't be helping you KimberlyAnn. I have never liked them and never in a million years will I :p

I don't think Uggs can really be "in" or "out" anymore. I just think they're not supposed to be fashionable, they are supposed to be comfortable, warm shoes that you wear in the snow. I'll probably wear mine this winter, just because I haven't found better shoes to keep my feet warm.

I don't like them at all now, I liked them 2 years ago when I got mine, actually I like mine just not anyone elses, sorry to sound bitchy!

I don't care how out they are, you'll have to use a crowbar to get my Uggs off my feet! They are the absolute most comfortable and warm shoe/boot for the winter, especially for hiking around campus

^yes, they are comfy...i don't buy Uggs because there is no point of wearing them here in southern cali. it's sunny all year long

theyve been out for al ong time now, but if you are using them for comfort, go ahead, but if you live in california and are wearing a mini skirt with uggs, then no.

they were never in.

You're in denial.

They were in for a minute. I still wear mine around the house. They keep my feet toasty. And I have no qualms wearing them out in public once the weather gets cool enough.

Ohh man. I'm never taking mine off, even if I'm the last person on the planet wearing them! They're so cozy. And I think they're cute, too.

Bring back the uGGs!

i wear my short tan ones and my tall magenta ones no matter what.
i dont care if they are out, they keep my forever cold feet, toasty warm

living in canada, you need something like that!
