On the one hand I'm glad to see Katy, she's a good choice for UK Elle, however I'm not loving that newsstand cover at all. Fingers crossed there's a much better subscriber's cover. I'm not holding too much hope however, Elle's gone so off the boil.

the Rebel Fashion bla bla bla fonts make it looks like a Nylon cover rather than Elle UK. Too hipsterish. She looks okay thou i'm not really feeling about the pose

I actually really really like this. She looks her age, she looks smoking hot, but most of all, this cover trumps her American Vogue cover by MILES! She looked so lifeless on their cover, whereas here she looks bright and vibrant, and very much an ELLE girl.

I also have to admit I quite like the fact the cover focuses on the grey/metallic side of the colour spectrum, most of the time it ages the cover star, but this makes Katy stand out a mile.

Best cover from the redesign thus far, me feels. Solid job, looking forward to the contents as well...

It's not great for September, having said that I feel other magazines have tried too hard with her and failed somewhat IMO when there's potential to produce something good. At least Katy looks her age as pointed out and the cover shows off her figure. Just feel it's hit and miss though when it comes to Katy.

It's much better than their last couple of newsstand covers, I actually like the styling and don't mind the layout. There isn't an overload of text, which is always nice.

Curious to see the Sub cover now.

Free hairspray - when you think your September issue won't sell itself.

Yeah, to be honest, I'm more motivated at the thought of a free hairspray than at the thought of the actual content.

I think this would of been a thousand times better if the cover shot was cropped at the thighs, and zoomed in a little. The forced and awkward looking leg pose isn't doing it for me. I won't even go into detail regarding the fonts and layout (I'll give it a rest this month). I do actually like the Dolce & Gabbana dress, the background and overall look they've went for with Katy, however.
