UK Harper's Bazaar February 2013 : Anne Hathaway by David Slijper

Naaah not feeling this one. Don't like her expression or maybe it's because of the makeup, the colors aren't great either.

her face looks Gaga-ish, especially with such angle and these 'heavy' eyelids, but I like it! far more than her last VOGUE cover.

If you're going to put the focus on the shoulders, make sure the shoulders look superb, like architecture made from flowing lines and angles, not randomly this-way-and-that. All it takes is a little more effort to find the pose, then hold it for the shot.

It's not the worst cover I've seen, but I find myself more interested in the background structure than the subject, which is never a good sign.

She doesn't quite pull off the droopy eyes and I don't like the two color scheme for the background especially the outer color, but Anne for sure is a beautiful woman.

There's a video to go with the shoot on the site and what you can see in it and not on this cropped cover is that Anne's hands are folded on a sort of plinth (good word, that) in front of her. It looks like a nice shot in the video actually. There's some nice full length shots too, and some where she's sort of hanging off a ladder. You can see the previous Bazaar images they've used as inspiration in the video. Looking forward to seeing her full editorial based on that actually.

The checked Vuitton makes another appearance in her editorial too.

I have nothing against Anne (she's an okay actress actually), but I so hate this hairsrtyle she had to have. It ruined her look so much. I'm happy for this probably means she won't be on Vogue.

Full cover from Bazaar's site; although I'm unsure whether it's cut underneath the barcode:

She has the same problem with her eyes, like she did on US Vogue.

I've just seen the vid and the pic in #8 with the arms showing is much better. But the other pic's taken weren't much exciting so far, but the LV outfit pic could be very nice.

I have so much respect for Anne as an actress, but she just can't pull off these kind of poses. She looks her best in more casual and happy sittings.

For me Anne has never looked better than when she did her UK Elle December cover in the gold Balmain.

It's not good, feeling very bored just looking at the cover and I don't have much hope for the subscribers cover. 3 words - awkward, boring and lifeless. I hold nothing against Anne though.

She looks very pretty, and having watched the video I'm excited, but she looks a bit sleepy, or as if she's got a lazy eye, doesn't she...?

This feels dated and what used to be Harper's & Queen. For the first time in ages, I find the cover of Bazaar to be mundane. It just appears to be dull and un-stimulating. That's not Anne's best angle either. I wonder if it's the cropped hair that isn't cutting it for me here. Because from the behind-the-scenes video, I do look forward to the published pictures.

UK Bazaar used to sell me the fantasy of the seductive power-woman with rich tastes and dark secrets, but now I get the feeling it's more like a sophisticated housewife with arranged lists of impeccable things to do in life. Let's not have any of that dangerous glamour, it'll only disturb the children before bedtime.

Anne's head doesn't seem to be on the same plane as her shoulders and hands which makes her entire head smaller and I think that is the main problem with this cover. If she had brought her chin down just an inch I think it would've had a different, more desirable effect.

not really feeling this from the neck up. the pose is nice but she looks bored and tired.
