UK Vogue December 2008 : Kate Moss by Nick Knight

I think of Agyness when
I see Anja's ed..i never wanted
to imagine them together..
but i love this whole issue

It looks like my purse strings are going to be pretty loose this month!
I love the cover, definitely suits that fairytale/whimsical theme they seem to have chosen.
The font is a bit bla and a bit too obvious but oh well. It's something different!

And I have to admit i'm getting a little tired of seeing Kate.
Don't get me wrong I love her, however her last few eds have been a little boring. It almost seems as though she working a bit TOO much and it's showing in her pics. There hasn't been alot of variety or energy behind them lately.

Vogue UK always does it's best work, like this issue, when it doesn't try to be effortlessly chic and elegant (best left to Vogue Italia) and instead goes for bubbly and whimsical and colorful.

Unbelieveable Fashion and Tim Burton eds are sooo imaginative and oh God can't say more than what i told on early page..What a nice closing! Bravo Shulman! i definitely getting this!!

Crap this is good....the styling is simply amazing...I love their choices for extravagant classics. Two looks from Galliano S/S 03  the table dress from Chalayan, McQueen S/S 05 and the Dior FW 0405 loafers :woot: There is so much color and movement going on in these pictures, they almost look like surreal illustrations. Nick Knight is an awesome photographer that is for sure. And the cast knows how to pose which is essential for this shoot. Perfect ten!

i love it too ....
the Chalayan archives with first Galliano creepers and then with the floral prints tights are simply perfect .... i mean i never thought about Chalayan and creepers. and it looks gorgeous !!!

one question, though : why so much archives in the issue ?! there's also Pugh archive in the Tim Burton/Waker ed ....

i loved Lily/Jourdan ediorial. typically Knight's 'explosion of fashion in the clinically white space'

Thank you Vogue28, I'm sure, I don't see this supplyment on the newsstand in my country, it look interesting.

Thank you skywire for all the scans, you made my day, cause I like to see somrthing inspiration and sure I have previous order this issue at the local newsstand may be late of next week in my country.

"Unbelievable Fashion" is amazing!I can't rememberwhen was the last time i liked an editorial in Vogue UK.But this one is perfect:heart:And i love the new font, wish i had found it first.

Yay, stunning cover! I know that Kate appears way too often on British Vogue covers but still... she looks lovely ^_^!

This issue is brilliant!!! Might be my favorite issue of the year. Shame though that I will have to wait another5 or 6 weeks to get it at my bookstore. And that I'll be shelling out around $16 for it. But it seems well worth it.

The cover is divine!!!!!

First of all, Skywire, thanks a million for all the scans you've provided us with. Now, to what I think of this issue: I love the cover, it's Kate at her best and it suits the "fantasy theme" quite well. As for the editorials, I couldn't have been more disappointed! I do have to agree that they fit with the "fantasy theme" but there's nothing fashion to them. They're just the creations of somebody who is too worried about their own vision of fashion to actually care whether these are good fashion editorials or not! And, imho, they're not.

Really fantastic! can't wait to get mine. Anja's ed reminds me so much one with Gemma.. I love both so much. And Tim Walker's, great present for Christmas.

favourite issue of this year.
that cover is just beautiful.
cannot wait to get my hands on this.

It's a wonderful issue, got it yesterday, really really well done, very Christmas, love the illustrations! That's what a December Vogue should look like.

i just saw the cover IRL and it was so tempting!! but i m still deciding whether to get this or bazaar or elle..

The cover is striking, but please, please, please, no more Kate Moss covers! Enough already! This is coming from a longtime Moss fan. I think she's great and I will be very sad if she ever retires, but why is she on the cover AGAIN? There are loads of amazing British topmodels that could bolster UK Vogue's image to the world. I understand that featuring her on the cover will help sales, I really do. But Vogue isn't meant to be your run-of-the-mill magazine that needs the same famous cover subject over and over again to sell copies. It urks me so much that I honestly wouldn't purchase this issue were it not for the Burton/Carter feature. That is too special to pass up.

As a Kate Moss fan I agree with you, enough! I was going to "protest" by not buying this issue, but the mag is just fantastic this month, no one can let this one pass. It really has a Christmas spirit.
