UK Vogue March 2018 : Gigi Hadid & Bella Hadid by Steven Meisel

The only thing I really like in this magazine is that they've discovered Poppy Kain. When she worked with Venetia Scott, Juergen Teller and Johnny Dufort, I never noticed that she has such a talent.

I like Jing Wen but she seems very limited in her facial expressions.

Looking forward to the Meisel and Luchford eds.

#triggeralert : overdose of jumping models against grey background.

Are we going the way of US Vogue now with these jumping edits? I don't hate them at all, indeed Binx and Selena's commercial appeal is a revelation for me. Both work for their edits. The rest of the girls not so much.
'Trends' belong in ID. And I'm on the fence re Jing Wen's edit. In some shots she's commanding and in others she looks far too juvenile. Still, it's great to see an OG Asian model book such a key editorial in the top 4 even if the edit looks very W.

So far I'm seeing traces of US Vogue, W, VP, ID alland blended in a chaff grinder....will wait for #NewVogue and whatever aesthetic it stands for.

Totally agree, I think that this use of the same photographers does not have their own identity is very sad because it makes people not faithful to a magazine

I love the work of Max Pearmain in Spur of the Moment, he`s a very good fashion editor. But the editorial is quite similar of US Vogue do every month

Although i am not totally into the actual eds, it's so amazing to see Edward giving work to photographers like Sion, Kean and Hawkesworth. It further goes to show he is not chasing star photographers, or big names, only! And same goes for Fashion Editors, I hope he keeps that up!

The Night Hunter was money thrown to the trash, it looks so cheap. Attempts to be both fun and gritty but comes off lame and unappealing. The composition is uninteresting and makes it quite clear why M&M are nowhere near Guy Bourdin whn it comes to image making. Very W indeed, at least it's not Irina Shayk that's rolling around in poorly lit sets.

Mariacarla by Jamie it's nothing special, to my dissapointment. Edward did Prada and Jamie so dirty with his choice of only shooting black items, it looks dreadful: Prada may be death but there's no reason why that's got to come across in the images. Prada is, or used to be, associated with quirky exuberance. Jamie's eye for color is one of his biggest assets and here it's gone completely to waste. That edit's got nothing to do with some of the beautiful images that have accompanied past interviews of Miuccia.

Whatever recycled thing Meisel did for this issue, it's simply not worth commenting on. Falls completely flat to me. The rest of the content is not far off, boring and sad filler.

Thanks so much for your work, Zorka. Always coming through with the goods! :flower:

I received my subscription copy yesterday - Bella's cover - and I feel a lot of these images look better on the printed page than they do as scans. And it has the heft of a March issue (or what passes for a 'big issue' in these days of slow magazine decline).

Thanks for sharing Zorka. Sorry but could you post Theo Sion x Max Pearmain's ed in high quality too? What I brought is not a good quality tho...
