Undercover S/S 2006 Paris

I think CdG had the most reasonble price for a pair, the shoes with rolling stone lips costed 165eu only and they had chippest than this..!

but in any way i still like the UC shoes a lot....something else in fashion doesn't mean that verything has to be made by leather, cashmere or silk.....

^ Ofcoz not. Those fabrics are always the most practical, but those UC shoes are just simply Purcells with UC tags on them. That is just brand wh*ring, I can find no other term and the price is ridiculous too.

I'm a fan of Jun's ideas and thinking but not always his clothes, and definitely sometimes not his more commercial products like this. The CdG shoes are more interesting and price wise is okay, the tongue pattern is something I like so much but I actually wouldn't mind wearing those sneakers.

The front part is different from the classic JP shoes...any way i wont be able to have as they are sold out already.. :(

One of the problems of not living in Japan heh but from the way I see it, you're way better off then me. At least you have proper access to the CdG universe. I have almost no contact while I'm in Sydney. I only get lucky when I go travel.

To me the collection just looks like ordinary nondescript not particularly well made clothes if you take away the "conceptual" make up. It seems like they're trying to inject more of an avant-garde feel with the make-up into the otherwise ordinary clothes. As I looked at the collection, I pictured it without the make-up and some of the looks consisting of just a simple loose vest and a pair of white pants didn't look too inspired at all.

Almost 270euros, in two colors black and white, sold out in one day UC TOKYO shop......

  :yuk:

I guess nobody would have spent that money on a pair of updated Purcell's if it wasn't for the Undercover labeltag. It's definitely not the design that drove people to buy these, it's the recognition factor and the hype around a limited run of shoes... it's not much different than what they do at Bathing Ape, really (and I don't approve their concept, really).

No CdG ?!!?!?

You don't have a store that stocks CdG or other creative fashion designer?

I found it quite interesting..especially the dresses made by t-shirts vests....

No, I haven't seen those... would you mind sharing a picture with me or alternatively, send me a link?

These are from the actual collection, yes? I must say I am immensely disappointed at the lack of effort considering his footwear is always so strong and distinct-so much so that they could very well be a collection all its own. Even though it's Ltd. Edition,I still think he should've done more. Actually since it is as such, one would have expected more. But I don't think he really put himself into doing this line.

No those shoes are not part of the collection..

they are just collaborations, which UC has one the side.. targeting the more street oriented crowd..

^^^^^Yes they are not part of the show! not in any way, i agree that it an easy way to make money and sometimes you have to do something very commercial if you want to go further and grow your bussines....

Well.. I don't know about "growing business" is a term related to Jun..

because he seems to be striving for the opposite... he has stated previously that money is no his main interest and that he wants to keep the size of his company as small as possible.

Okay.

Yeah I agree Baizilla. I think he has a big enough business as it is and as you said I think he's one who wants to keep things at a small level.

I don't think the guy needs any more capital to growl, he's got enough money to do whatever he likes. Besides I doubt those ltd edition sneakers will bag much for him.

Everybody has to do something commercial so other gorup of people get know of UC!
I dont thing that this is bad!

I know I'm a bit late on this, but I adore this collection. It's very dreamlike.
