Updating wardrobe

so basically, my boyfriend knows how much I need new clothes so he gave me a bit of spending money for christmas. The only problem is, I dont know exactly what to get. What are the few basic things I should get for coming spring time? I dont want to get something that I'll never wear again.

I think we should have a thread for s/s.. I'm thinking:

platforms.. found the perfect one's from Chloe.
white.. as always.. i know this sounds 'old' but I said I'm working on it..

I know many members here can come with interesting tips and pics!

My predictions for spring 2007:

- platforms & wedges
- dresses (all kinds)
- return of the mini skirt

I want to do the same to. Im trying to save money to buy clothes that I love but those clothes that I like are expensive haha I love Free People Clothing and some from Urban Outfitters.
*buy a pair of sandals that will match everything you wear I alway go for an off white color.
*nice pair of platforms
*jean skirt
*I usually like to get some nice tank tops in different colors
*cute baby doll tops similar to some of these ones from Free Poeple

*some dresses something you can wear during the day or evening

I think these would be nice for spring and summer plus you can also wear some of these during the winter except for the sandals and platforms but you can always pair the tanks with a sweater or do some layering with them if you want. You can wear leggings with the jean skirt and even with the dresses and wear a nice pair of boots. So I would buy things that I can wear all year long just mix and match with them.

^ Great tips everyone! I always have problem finding summer shoes specially designers don't really offer what I want for summer, I thought Chloe was going to have something nice, but they don't!!

Lots of nice tshirts are on my list... and simple flats, dark wash jeans... ahh I love shopping, haha

So basically I think you should go for basics. Then when it gets to summer you can buy any key trend pieces, because it's likely that come spring there will be something else that you want! So like I said, go for tshirts - good quality in different colours and sleeve lengths; a few pairs of simple jeans, a pair of flats and wedges. And maybe a jumper and blazer?

well, what you need to get would depend on your lifestyle.
how old are you? and do you have a job? a dresscode to follow?
what's your style?
what's your favorite thing to wear?

agreed, def. get a jumper or blazer if it goes with your look. they are so fabulous!
