The only thing that distinguishes that Gisele shoot from the shots I see in freebie fashion catalogues is that nobody let her dry her hair first. Possibly the most uninspired Gisele editorial I've seen in a long time, and they even achieve the impossible and make her look really bad (shot no. 6).
It's as if people realised there was something badly lacking in the shoot, so they decided, "Let's add edge to Gisi's look by giving her wet hair" but wet hair isn't really a sign of rebellion or the most desirable lifestyle accessory. It's a pointless attempt to inject edge into a dull shoot.
And I'm being this hard on Elle because we all know that Gisele can do her job really well. If they wanted to waste her by styling her like this, they could have got any number of other models to do the job. Gisele wasn't doing work this awful even when she was a relative unknown.
